!938 Minneapolis Moline UDLX. Advertised as a tractor that doubled as a car. First tractor built with a full cab, seating for two, maybe three. Had windshield wipers, sun visor, glove box, cigarette lighter, radio, heater, and a rear view mirror with clock. Top speed 45 mph, there was a sales ad showing a UDLX pulled over for speeding.

125 were built, 100 sold. 25 were returned to the factory because of poor sales including the one my Uncle had at his dealership. Approximately 25 remain today, this one was sold by Mecum Auctions a couple years ago for $200K.

Thank you for the follow up.

There was one of those (Edit: two of those) here locally. Diane S owns (or owned) a little hobby farm in Hadley Michigan, north of us. She and her husband had one of the largest collections of antique and orchard tractors in existence. (It was featured in one of the "Dream Garage" coffee table books).

She got divorced and I don't know if she is still there or if the collection is still intact.

(Or if she is interested in a new relationship with a perennially poor-ish 60 year old nerd that might be "on the spectrum").

Spectacular collection and presentation Keith!!
Yes, two UDLX there, one being the no-cab version. Also two of the smaller model "R Cab" tractors. Thanks for sharing!
