The 72 Vega GT shown as an auction car coming up for sale has a Yenko turbocharger kit installed . i bought the same kit through Yenko Chevrolet in the fall of 1972 and installed it on a 73 sedan delivery Vega. The parts shown in the pics were all included in the kit I paid $300 for through Schmidt Chevrolet along with the new car for $1800. . The Smokey reference as the engine builder is questionable.

Same Same, here in Fremont somewhere around the early 80’s I was keeping an eye on a minty condition Marina Blue ‘67 Impala SS 427. I recall it may have had a Blue interior? Anyway I spotted it several times parked behind a Mom-and-Pop store here in Fremont, but I had no money at that time to pursue it. I just stared at it’s beauty. |
