Lee... I'd like to disagree, that nobody wanted them. I think we were on the edge of getting into the "downsize" car, keeping up with "the Joneses"
The BB car was more expensive, usually had to be ordered with a package, (Impala) or was a stripped (Belair, Biscayne) for the performance guy. Really is hard to define, Why there are no B body BB cars left. Not everybody wanted a Camaro, Chevelle. This was a time of bigger families, 3-4 kids, Mom stayed home etc. Interesting conversation on the "whys" |

Aoto Catalog said "Overdrive (man 4) which I mistook for a true 4 speed manual. You are correct - 3 on the tree only. https://i.postimg.cc/59ZWMtQz/0.jpg |

Amazing how a set of mags changes the look of a car - even this 4 door Chevy. |

Shortly after I bought the red SS Chevelle that I still have. Not long after a red/red '66 L72 BelAir (lighter) became available. If the timing were different....I may have gone down a totally different path! Where are they today?? I have two friends who, between them, have five Z24's. Four '67's including a convertible, and a '68 notchback coupe, all in various stages of deterioration and not for sale. In 2009, I had the opportunity the buy a dead ringer to the one above, except it had the optional body stripes, from my cousin's estate in Pasadena. (With a spare hood!!!) A one repaint 48,000 mile car. It didn't work out, still regret it! The '67 427 flags are my all-time favorite!! - Bill W |
