Landing the title as the snowiest city in the United States is Syracuse, New York. Located in Central New York, between Buffalo and Albany, 'Cuse is home to Dinosaur BBQ and Syracuse University and sees an average snowfall of 124 inches every winter.

While Central New York's Syracuse takes the top honor of being the snowiest city in the United States, Aomori City in Northern Japan holds the title as the snowiest city in the world. On average, the Aomori Prefecture capital city experiences 312 inches of snow per year.

In the early 60s, I was with the Air Force at Misawa Japan (northern Honshu). When clearing the runway with snow blowing trucks the snow would be so deep on the sides of the runway when a C-130 landed or taking off all you could see was the top of the tail!! Heard some of our F-100 pilots say it was like landing in an alley. TAZ

First 2020 Chevy Corvette C8 Rolls Off Line in Kentucky, Already Sold for $3 Million

Charley Lillard 02-04-2020 03:42 PM

I doubt that is the first one built. More likely the first one sold to the public.

William 02-04-2020 03:47 PM

There were several at B-J. Most had VINs with an 'EX' suffix but at least one did not. They can build VIN 001 anytime they desire.

"EX" VINs are "non-saleable" units.

If they are sold it is done with a bill of sale. The cars cannot be titled or licensed for street use.
