This is the reproduction car made up today and was shown at MCACN in 2017 I believe

I agree, GMC and Chevy trucks could be counted together, as they are virtually the same vehicle.

I wonder if that T-top '69 is still around?

x44d80 01-24-2020 08:27 PM

There was a student at my High School in 1978 who installed T-Tops in his 1969 Camaro. It was a fairly popular well known car at the time in the area. Lots of chrome, a crushed velvet interior, etc. etc. He sold it to another student who's father owned a larger oil distribution company. I believe the young man died from a drug overdose and I have never seen that car again.

Making her first acting appearance at the age of 65 in a 1957 episode of Dragnet, Mrs Minner was best known for her appearances in a series of ten television commercials for Chrysler Corporation's Dodge Division which aired in Southern California from 1964 to 1969, and as the red shawl wearing little old lady on the cover of the 1964 Jan and Dean album "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena".

In the spring of 1964, Mrs Minner came to the attention of the Kohner Agency in Hollywood after she answered a casting call wearing a red shawl, black gloves, and a pair of Keds sneakers. She was perfect for the part of the "little old lady", which would be featured in a series of upcoming television commercials for Southern California Dodge dealers, and was hired on the spot. The television commercials became one of the most memorable advertising campaigns of the 1960s. Her famous tag line in that Clio Award winning advertising campaign was "Put a Dodge in your garage, honey!"

Mrs Minner became a Southern California celebrity for teens, parents, and even bikers. She even made an appearance on The Dating Game, which became their highest rated show.

Heirloom tomatoes are grown from seeds that have been passed down from season to season (hence the name).

So how do farmers pick the seeds that will go on to produce generations of heirloom tomatoes? Farmers take seeds from the best of the best tomato plants, then use them to grow more tomatoes.

Many heirloom varieties predate World War II, and are passed down through generations in a particular area. Often, they’re grown by ancestors of the farmers or gardeners who first grew them.

Decades of selective breeding results in tomatoes that are fairly uniform in flavor, size, juiciness, and color.

my uncle bought one exactly like this gmc sprint brand new here in tulsa. remember riding in the bed going down the highway at 80 mph with my cousin. always wandered where it went when I got older. the wheels on this one look a little too silver. maybe its just the lighting. I wish they would post the copy of the original buildsheet they say they have.

Houston explosion collapses Corvette restoration buildings

The explosion Saturday that took the lives of two employees of a manufacturing business in Houston also collapsed the roofs of two nearby buildings housing a Corvette restoration specialist.

“Mine are flattened,” Gordon Andrus told Houston ABC television station KTRK. “It’s sitting there with about a million dollars in cars right now.”

He added that he was glad none of his employees were in the buildings when the early-morning disaster took place.

CNN reported that Andrus said 15 cars were in the two buildings that suffered damage. He also said he has two other buildings just down the street and will move his business operations there as soon as he’s allowed back into the area.
