Saw this the other day - assume it's a clone but maybe not. Same town the Corvette Summer car was found in.

----That Gran Sport has GS number three's racing numbers on it, "2". Looks like it's fairly authentic from a distance. That original No.3 car became very fast after the California owner spent a bunch of time dialing it in (years) in vintage racing. He was the 1st guy to lower the front end and rework the suspension a bit to keep air from getting under the nose and ruining any aerodynamics the car had. I cant remember his name but I ended up with the 67 435 coupe he bought new quite a while ago and sold to Jimmy Reid, my old engine builder in Mass. He kept the 67 for quite awhile and sold it for a pretty decent profit. Not sure where either the GS or the 435 are today......Bill S

At the beginning of the 1969 Drag Racing season, Chrysler wanted to give Ronnie Sox a new company car. They told him to pick out a Chrysler Imperial of his choice. Sox told Chrysler that he felt that was not the kind of car he wanted - felt he was too young for the car. So they asked him which car would he like. His response . . . "how about a hemi Road Runner." That's what they gave him. |

https://s26.postimg.cc/wue2ods3t/image.jpg From the 1970 Challenger brochure. Those are 15" Magnum 500 "Chrome Road Wheels." Chrysler never offered them as an option. Theirs were 14" only. |

Those are some beautiful Mopars, but those recalled road wheels were horrendous looking.

I beg to differ. IMO they look very stylish. While we are on the subject of horrendous looking wheels I believe Ford had that covered with their 1970 mustang optional "Styled Steel Wheels: https://s26.postimg.cc/7698t5nux/image.jpg |

It is very common that actors and actresses will change their real name for a "Hollywood/Stage" name. The next 12 posts are just some that have done so:
