I spent all day getting organized, parts from all the nooks and crannies came out.

I have all like items together... for example all my fuel system parts are in one area..... this is amazing!!!!

I put everything not going on the car away to store, or sell.

This was a great day!! I even cleaned the garage and I can walk around the car...... I did a few laps just because I could.

The next part I need to install isnthe heater core so my interior work can be completed and it was the last box I opened... but I found it.

I started prepping my back bumper, it looks a lot better but needs more shine time.

I painted my water pump.

I media blasted and started painting my inside and outside heater boxes. Started looking at options for a blower motor.... they are practically hidden....

Did more prep on the backside of the rear bumper, paint tonight.

Brought home a car load from NOCC :-)

I will try to post a few pics later.

I formatted my schedule into bite size chunks, one chunk per day... (and I am trying not to look at the number of chunks just today’s chunk :-)

Re-restored my lower alternator bracket

Washed the main portion of the car.... what a difference!!!

Vacuumed and blew out nooks and crannies.

I had a silly idea to remove the kick panels till I found out what is involved. Nope.

I picked up my wiring (American Auto Wire) every wire except the under dash harness, I will do that some other time.

Nick Morocco is building a couple RamRods to sell... parts are not growing on trees! Kurt Burdick had one item we needed and Rick Pauley may have more goodies.....

Tomorrow I hope to get my door panel to the interior shop so they can look at repair/replacements.

Call my cell Ryan and I will walk you through the kick panels. Really not bad at all if I understand what you are trying to do.

Do they need to come out for carpet install?

For piece of mind I would DEFINETELY pull the kick panels.....you do not want to be
driving your car with a good possibility of having mice feces in the kick panels.....plus there is certainly other debris inside the kick panels after 50 years. Pull them and give them a good cleaning.

No, the carpet tucks behind the kick panel.

No not at all. I normally install all my carpet last so as to not damage it by laying and walking on it if installing everything after and it is not an issue if done correctly and with some handy tools.
