Arizona has not observed Daylight Saving Time since 1967

Florida is trying to opt out of Daylight Savings Time as well, but it's in the process of being approved by the Federal Government, so not sure if/when that will happen.
Hope so.

Quite a few states are looking to ditch DST:

I have been "binge watching" the TV show: LAST MAN STANDING with Tim Allen. This truck caught my eye. Probably not the same make but it looks like the same color as the one on the show.

Buying Lottery Tickets, Money wasted: $71.8 billion

You have essentially the same chance of winning the lottery whether you play or not, but that didn't stop Americans from spending $72 billion, or $220 per person, on tickets in 2017, the most recent year for which data was available. That's more than we spend on movies, video games, or concerts, yielding far less entertainment value. According to research by online lender LendEdu, residents of Massachusetts spent the most per individual ($737) and North Dakotans the least ($35).

Not Using Gift Cards, Money wasted: nearly $1 billion

Simultaneously the most maligned and requested of holiday gifts, gift cards can either simplify shopping or make money simply disappear. About $1 billion of the money packed away in gift cards goes unspent every year, reports of a CEB TowerGroup study said last year. All those minuscule sums people either forget about or are too proud to use really do add up, but there's a thriving market in buying, selling, and trading "used" gift cards on sites such as Raise and Cardpool, and 11 states mandate stores pay back a remaining balance below a certain threshold.

Guzzling Bottled Water, Money wasted: $31 billion

The facts of environmentally overwhelming plastic waste and little to no oversight on water quality didn't stop Americans from spending $31 billion on bottled water in 2018, according to by Consumer Reports. Bottled water also costs 600 times more and requires up to 2,000 times as much energy to produce than tap water, meaning this waste of money and resources isn't confined to just consumers.

Making Pennies, Money wasted: $69 million

Each one-cent penny cost 2.06 cents to make in 2018, while each nickel cost 7.53 cents. Though both spiked this year thanks to rising metal prices, pennies have cost taxpayers more than they're worth for 14 years. The Government Accountability Office reported that in fiscal year 2017, the U.S. Mint wasted $69 million producing pennies and $21 million on nickels.

A watch by Swiss luxury brand Patek Philippe has sold for over $31 million, the highest price ever paid for a timepiece at auction.

The Grandmaster Chime 6300A-010 has never been worn -- it was created specially for Saturday's auction in Geneva to raise money for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy, according to Christie's.

It is the only version of the timepiece ever produced in stainless steel and the alarm sub-dial is marked with a special inscription, "the only one."

The watch has a reversible case in black and rose gold, 18-karat solid gold dial plates and is fixed with a band made of black, hand-stitched alligator leather.

I'd rock that.

I daily drove this '87 pickup off and on over a 30 year period.

Drove it off the end of the assembly line myself.

It had to be at least 10 years ago when one of these sold at a B-J auction for more than $100,000. And their value for properly restored examples really hasn't fallen that much since. This one is for sale for $86,000.

Number 1 & 3 Pollock's Path, Hong Kong (which incidentally is the priciest street on the planet) was snapped up in January 2017 by Yeung Kin-man, the founder and CEO of a company that makes iPhone screens. Spanning just 51,000 square feet, the modern mansion set the billionaire tycoon back a heart-stopping $361 million. This is the highest price ever paid for a private home BTW.

It doesn't look too impressive does it? Not until you look out the back:

It's no secret that turkey is a Thanksgiving staple. However, it's unlikely that it made an appearance at the first feast. Instead, the Wampanoag Indians would have brought lobsters, deer meat, clams, and eels. Coming from Europe, the pilgrims wouldn't have eaten turkey either and would have opted for duck or goose. Turkey actually wasn't popularized until the 19th century when it was recognized as an affordable source of protein that could feed a larger crowd.

Did you know the first-ever TV dinner came from Thanksgiving leftovers? In 1953 a worker at Swanson ordered too many frozen turkeys (260 tons too many to be exact) so a company salesman named Jerry Thomas had the idea to create a packaged dinner on aluminum trays. After an assembly line of women scooped turkey, corn-bread dressing, peas, and sweet potatoes onto the trays, the TV dinner was born!

Thanksgiving hasn't always taken place on the fourth Thursday in November. In 1939, FDR moved the holiday up one week to help boost retail sales during the Depression. So many people complained that it was eventually moved back to the original date in 1941. The Thanksgivings between those years are referred to as "Franksgivings" still today.

Every year millions of Americans tune in to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, but did you know that the parade has European origins? In 1924, the store's immigrant employees decided to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season like they would have in their European homelands—with a parade with knights, jugglers and clowns. The balloons weren't introduced until 1927.

Millions of Americans tune in to watch football on Thanksgiving every year and it all started because the owner of the Detroit Lions wanted to promote the game in his baseball-obsessed city and convinced NBC to broadcast the game. Ever since that first NFL broadcast in 1934, the Lions have played on every Thanksgiving except during WW2. The Dallas Cowboys joined in on this NFL tradition in the 60s and America has had its post-dinner plans figured out ever since.
