The Lambo -- I guess I could lower myself to drive a foreign car ... and park it behind the shop so no one noticed. TAZ

The outdoor show season has finally arrived here in the Midwest. Yesterday I went to the Auctions America Auction in Auburn which featured an AACA car show. There wasn't much in the auction, but there were some neat cars in the AACA show. Here are some that I photographed.

Here is D. Yoder's latest restoration. This 67 Chevelle SS L78 has it's original drivetrain and is Nantucket Blue with a bright blue bench seat interior. It was sold new at R.D. Banks Chevrolet in Warren OH. The is the third 67 L78 Chevelle that he has restored. The other two were featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines. The Butternut Yellow one was just featured recently and his Granada Gold one was featured several years ago. In my opinion this was the best musclecar at the show.

This 57 Bel Air convertible was Sierra Gold and was a 283 horse fuelie with a 3 speed and 4.11 rear.

Nice Bolero Red 67 Impala SS convertible with a 427 and TH400 that were original to the car.

This 70 442 W-30 convertible was an automatic car with A/C.

C. Moore's 66 Hemi Charger with a 4 speed and 3.54 rear was featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines several years ago. It is the only known Silver 66 Hemi Charger with a red interior.

Here are some Corvettes.

Nice 54 Corvettes. The majority or 54 Corvettes that I've seen were Polo White. Here are a Blue one and a Tuxedo Black one at the same show.

This 66 Corvette convertible was Trophy Blue and was powered by an L79 small block. I don't remember ever seeing a 66 Corvette in this color before.

I appreciate the pre-war iron as well. A question: That Nantucket Blue 67 L78 Chevelle (top of this page), is it not supposed to have an idler pulley on the RH side (only on L78 cars)?

As an aside, I maintained a collection that had 2 Auburn 1929 8-90 roadsters, so I am very familiar with these cars and thier Lycoming 8's with their big brass carburetors.

Re: Musclecar Photographs mrays

I know the 66 Chevelles with the L78 had an idler pulley on the RH side, but I don't believe the 67's did. I don't know of any unrestored 67 L78 Chevelles, but I just looked at photos I have of 4 other documented 67 L78 Chevelles that are restored and non of them have idler pulleys either.

I believe your answer and thanks. I'll have to trust your knowledge. I have never seen a real documented 67L78, IIR.
