Though they look nice, the optional Firestone Dual Band Redlines weren't available for this particular 1966 Mustang. The reason: They were an option on V8 equipped Mustangs only. This one is a six cylinder. They came standard on 289 HiPo equipped Mustangs in later 1965/1966.

1967 was the last model year for the 289 HiPo engine option. Shelby sold 1,175 GT350's equipped with the K-code 289.
The K-code 289/271 HP engine only weighed 465 pounds. The 1967 Chevy 350/295 HP enigne weighs 575 pounds. Subtract 25 pounds from the Shelby K-code due to the aluminum intake.
