I can't believe nobody mentioned the "1970" front tag on the '69 Camaro press photo several pages back........

I am guessing . . . when the new body 1970 model was delayed, Chevy ordered these photos. There is a magazine photo of the "New 1970 Chevrolet Performance Cars" and in it is a 1969 Camaro SS. I will try to find it. . . . Here it is:

Cool pics Lee and thanks again for all the great stuff you dig up and post here!
Wonder how the Cessna in the one pic was associated w/ GM, in use by them or maybe arranged by their Advertising Agency?

Thanks for the kudos Pete - greatly appreciated!

There are two "themes" that seem to go with auto ads created in the 1960s and early 1970s for "sporty" cars:" small airplanes and scuba diving. I could post lots of PR photos with them. I don't think there is any relationship between them other than what the ad agency is trying to have to photo say to a potential buyer.

The hood emblem in the pic above got me thinking 69/70 Acadian so I looked closer.
Can't 'member ever seeing a Dealer Emblem mounted on a hood before?

But the greatest real-life gunslingers have to be the pistol shrimp, aka the snapping shrimp, hundreds of species with an enormous claw they use to fire bullets of bubbles at foes, knocking them out cold or even killing them. The resulting sound is an incredible 210 decibels, far louder than an actual gunshot, which averages around 150.
