Re: really cool 70 Z28..simply the best.
Wow, my LA built Z28 was built about a week earlier (03B). I wonder if it has a buildsheet tucked in the right front fender?

Notice the yellow paint dab on the dist. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/371...Picture341.jpg [/ QUOTE ] Charley; Is there a similar yellow paint daub on the drivers side rear corner of the baseplate on the carb? I've had a number of unmolested `70 BB carbs in which all had a yellow daub, just wondering if the LT1 got it too. Thanks. Eric |

pic of a build sheet still bolted to inner fender and taped to the firewall. Would be gone if it ever got wet. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/371609-tn_HPIM0701.JPG [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: really cool 70 Z28..simply the best.
It is amazing... just like what I am sure is a Chassis build sheet on the rear... like john Z said... all the sub assemblies subframe, rears, body, front sheet metal, etc... had build sheets taped to them, when the cars went together the sheets were supposed to be pulled off and disposed of...
They left so much on this one that if you threw a Just Married sign in the window, it would have been right at home leaving a church as an assembly line! BUT CAN I HAVE IT!!! PLEASE? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif |
Re: really cool 70 Z28..simply the best.
I'm confident that some of the same "build Sheets" etc.. were left on other cars. They just didn't Survive like this one.
