This drives me nuts. The 69 Mach 1's were not available with magnum 500's or the front air dam. VERY common add on on 90% of the cars today but is incorrect. Don't even get me started with slats and spoiler on mach 1's.

About mid way through the production year, Mercury dropped the 427/390 HP engine from the 1968 Cougar GT-E and introduced the 428 Cobra Jet instead. It got a new hood scoop which was a functional ram air style.
