Tried them all. They all work one at a time using [image] xxx [/image] . Don't know why they don't load when you put them all up there.

Some of the pictures are being linked from websites that don't allow hot linking...so you see an "X"

Boy does that look like Dave MacDonald up on the trailer. He would die the following year at Indy when he spun/crashed the fuel-heavy Mickey Thompson "roller skate" in the opening laps and caused an incredible fire which consumed Indy winner Eddie Sachs as well.

Yeah, but you know what's so nice about that old photo? Nobody saw those cars as precious investments, they were simply disposable items meant to be used up and then pushed aside. They were used and abused--heavily--and then either sold as surplus (as the Daytonas were after their world-beating '65 season) or parted out.

I went to Google Earth and located the Bridgehampton track. It is now a private golf course.

Heres a pics from the 60's of my dad and uncles vettes. They are both are rare especially my dads 57. The 57 was one of 43 579E big brake air box fuelly vettes and the 62 was originally fawn beige on beige 327-340hp 4spd. I have tracked down my dads old 57 it has been completely restored went NCRS top flight several times but never found (and have been looking) my uncles 62. Notice, on the 62 vette, the optional 1962 impala wire wheel covers. My uncle had a roman red 1962 impala convert at the same time. All the 57 vette pics are all the same car. My dad changed the look several times.

Thanks, I would love to know what kind of wheels those were. I asked my dad but he cant remember, I know he switched them out for chrome reversed. I am going to check out more pics to see if I can get closer shot. I also like the tow bars in the front, no bumperettes and the powered by chevy decal on the hardtop. The car never had a heater or a radio and had the tach mounted on the steering column all from the factory. The car was a drag car from new mexico when my dad bought it. He was working at a Fina gas station in the evenings while stationed in Big Springs Tx when he bought the vette. He bought the car around 1964.

The second pic is small so scroll down but gives a closer shot of the wheels and of some chic my dad must have snagged up on base haha. The last pics was on base, my dad was a Jet Mechanic at that time and use to work on his vette in the hanger.

I have always been a huge fan of mags with narrow-band whitewalls.
