BTW, I'm getting ready to crack open the Rocket 350 from the 69 Olds. I got it running well, went for a couple of shake down cruises and when I pulled in the yard from the last one she was smoking pretty heavily. That's why it was parked 26 yrs ago. I figure it's time for at least a basic rebuild so I'm going to throw rings, bearings & a valve job at it. |

Congrats !!!
Nice build thanks for sharing. |
Thanks Bernard
As always I am on a parts run at MCACN:-) Time to load up my car again. I have owned the car for 1004 days, 2.7 years. The first 279 days 0.7 year was awaiting our trip to MCACN. This means I have been doing a chassis restoration for 725 days 2 years. I get down on my progress once in a while until I put it in perspective. I am proud of my accomplishments and have so many great parts ready to go on the car!!! I hope Crash brings a pilot bushing, that has me stopped as I can’t marry the engine and trans:-( Ryan |
I met Crash at MCACN, my pilot bushing got mixed up with a Chevy, I could tell by eye as it was the same size as the bearing I already bought that was wrong from Summit.
I had already chased Jody Hagg about it before MCACN and he has two on the way. I will take pictures of all the gear I picked up at MCACN, soon. I made arrangements to have a friend visit each Wednesday evening for 3 hours to work with me on the bottom of the car. I adjusted my budget to sell a few items to make room for this support. I am clearly stuck and need deadlines to get me back on track. (This will help) Ryan |
