From the producer of the 2000 major motion picture "Play It To The Bone", starring Antonio Banderas, Woody Harrelson and Lucy Liu, written and directed by Ron Shelton. This was the hero car that Banderas, Harrelson and Liu sat in for most of the film. There were two cars used in the film, a 71 and a 72. After the film, the director bought the 71 and the producer bought the 72. Trim Tag says it was originally Baroque Gold with black top and interior. Was repainted Mopar Sassy Grass Green per the director's choice. |

The 1966 Dodge D/Dart was a Factory Dart package built solely for drag racing. The 273 v8 was rated at 275hp and weighing in at just over 2900 lbs. The car qualified for NHRA’s D/Stock category. In 1966 Chrysler was upset with NHRA for allowing Ford to show up with its tube chassis cars and aftermarket fiberglass bodies, so Chrysler decided to take the year off. No super stock 426 Hemi’s were produced in 1966. |

Also - in the spirit of "hey - it's the same car":
These two Pontiacs are the same car. According to Pontiac enthusiast/GM Design Center retiree Jeff Denison: some time after the tire test GTO was retired from service it was returned to Michigan and restored, and now resides in the GM Heritage Center collection. I personally remember seeing this car sitting at the DPG during my temporary visits and subsequent years of working there. K |

JMO but cars like that are part of the downfall of NASCAR. I enjoyed watching much more when cars were actually closer to a factory offering. That thing is as much of a Mustang as my 2002 Nissan XTerra is.
I get all the safety stuff; that is great for the sport but can't they at least make the cars resemble the model they're supposed to be? |

The days of allowing showroom car like race cars to compete in NASCAR is ancient history and will IMO never return. Too many chances for what happened in the 1969 and 1970 seasons: Manufacturers "buying" wins through the creation of purpose built race cars sold to the public so they could be homologated into NASCAR. Now it's all about the drivers not the cars. Making the cars "equal" (That's a laugh with all the cheating that goes on) takes away a manufacturers incentive to create such cars. |

L-head six-cylinder engine, three-speed manual transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. – The structural metal underneath was given a copper wash, and all hardware, including the dashboard, was chrome plated. Rubber moldings were made in white, as were the car’s tires – Cost a reported $25,000 to build (using Consumer Price Index to estimate inflation, it is approx. $388,000 in 2010 US dollars) – Car still rides on its original white tires with odometer reading of 86 miles (138 km) – Does not have a conventional vehicle identification number |
What inspired Joel Rosen to choose "Motion" for the name of his business (Motion Performance)?
