Today was a bucket list item checked off.

My Dyno day was a success (longer than planned but successful)

Al Corporon and Shane Peter came to be part of today, it was really nice to share this great day.

The morning was blown by installing the inner valve springs, a lot of little delays ate up the morning, so costs increased:-( Time and Material cost money in my world.

Joe and FJ were thorough, helpful, knowledgeable, and had no issues dealing with a rookie.
After the vs’s the engine was started and warmed up again and a baseline run was made, followed by runs 2-3-4-5-6 all to get the carb and timing bang on.

Dan Jensen did a fantastic job on the carb and ignition almost no adjustments were needed.

I had decided not to share the engine builders details as I have seen issues with engine builders and paint shops in the past and if an issue had arisen I wanted to skip the public drama. No drama, the engine performed very well.

The engine machine shop I had complete the rebuild was ideal supply in listowel Ontario. Kevin Loder (Lead engine builder) took care of my project from start to finish and really made it a wonderful experience!! He took all my crazy questions in stride and built a stout W31.

No offence to young inexperienced internet sensations.....I will always go to the elder White Hair no matter if I am in a dyno disco or a hardware store!!!

We had a nice chat and looked at FJ’s 65 cutlass 27K Mile car:-)

We trialed 36 Degrees timing, and then 2 Up, 2 Down.

The engine liked 34 best:-)

The dyno runs were from 2600 to 5400 rpm.

The engine made over 340 Lb-Ft from 2600 to 4600, 380 Lb-Ft max at 3500.

The engine made over 200 Hp at 3000 and rose incrementally all the way to 325 Hp at 5300.

This engine is going to be fun!!!
