Going thru pics from long ago

With time on our hands, I’m digging through my old pics. Being a 427 affectionate, here’s one I owned in the late 70’s.
Motion-prepped, SS427 Chevrolet with 4-speed and 4:10 gears. What a bear! Those in the NE NHRA super stock scene might know the name Sherwood Allen with his string of “Soul Survivor” Camaros. He used to tune it and always said “Jeff, don’t ever sell this car” Stupid me.... She had the STANCE. |
Thanks for digging up these photos and posting Jeff! Yes, she definitely had the stance...
Missed this terrific thread. |

I found an old picture from the 2014 Downriver cruise with the Camaro in the background, before the old airshocks quit. They've been replaced since, and this is also before I redid the traction bars and added the HiJackers logos to the window. For some reason, the new shocks don't seem to raise it as much. Then again, I was 14 then, maybe I just got taller.

I'm wanting to put a little taller tire on the front. I think it will look better.

Stock 66 Chevelle

Just put on these 775/14 Firestone Red lines on 14X6 with Factory five spoke wheel covers to give it a stock look. I think the wheel covers are 68-69 because they're painted Black. Maybe someone here knows if that's correct.

----Correct or not, a very cool look! I have always loved those caps......Bill S

Here is my 55 chevy barn find stance...its probably going to have this stance for some time...bought this car a few months ago for my son, he wants to make it into a kind of Two Lane Blacktop style hot rod...55 210 2 door posts are kinda hard to find, so when this showed up on Craigslist I had to buy it. It has not been on the road since the late 60's, early 70's...3 speed manual with aftermarket floor shifter, 327.

Come one, Shaun....
....you just can’t tease us like this. Post them up. What else we gotta do, stuck here in Jersey and everywhere else???

The pressure .....:no::no:....reminds me of David Bowie's song..."under pressure"
It was imperative for me that the depth of the pleats (1/2") were spot on to the way the factory design them for that WOW factor. Almost nobody gets them right when redoing these interiors. Button depth was another issue and my upholstery nailed it perfectly! All NOS materials were used. |
WOW,WOW!!! Shaun definitely knows how to get black right, and that interior, that dash is just plain cool!!I still remember the black LS6 from MCACN!!
Nice work Shaun :worship: |

I agree, he nailed the pleats perfectly, my 68 Caprice 32K mile original interior.

I had the 68 SS427 when I was stupid, just out of high school in 73 and sold it. Then, was stupid again 5 years ago when I sold the 67 SS427. SO, HOW’S MY STANCE IN THE GARAGE for me being dumb? Jersey Jeff |
Took me a looooong time to take my eyes off the two cars and finally notice you sleeping in the car cover. Nice lot of 427 cars!
