No part of this story or the actual find was embellished or made up and am only repeating what I was told. That being said, I would have to agree with you and found it hard to believe myself especially being a multi car owner himself. My tech was there on the first visit and Don Stowers on the second to back everything up.

Got my block back from the machine shop today. Very nice original MQ paint code still intact. Also found a "C 3 0" written on the front driver's side of the block. The engine was assembled on January 23rd so it is not a casting or assembly scribble.
