Re: Musclecar Photographs mrays

This batch of photographs were taken locally this summer.

Elkhart IN closed of the downtown area and had a car show one Saturday in July. These 5 cars are owned by a local business owner who helped sponsor the show.

This is a 1928 Elcar Model 8-91 Roadster with a 298ci 8 cylinder producing 84 horsepower.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-dscn0946.jpg

This is a 1931 Cadillac 4 door Dual Cowl with a V8.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8-dscn0945.jpg

This is a 1932 Packard Light Eight Roadster with a 319ci straight 8 producing 130 horsepower.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...9-dscn0947.jpg

This is a 1932 Auburn Speedster.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0-dscn0950.jpg

This is a 1933 Auburn 8-105 Salon Brougham with a 268ci 8 cylinder producing 105 horsepower.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-dscn0949.jpg

The next group of photos were taken at the cruise in at the Essenhaus in Middlebury IN that occurs every Thursday from May through September. The grand finale at the end of September usually draws close to one thousand cars.

This 66 Nova SS has a 327 with a 4 speed.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dscn1085.jpg
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...4-dscn1074.jpg

This 68 Camaro has a small block with an automatic.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...5-dscn1092.jpg

This 69 Z/28 has a healthy 540 backed by a 4 speed.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...6-dscn1088.jpg
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-dscn1087.jpg

This 71 RS/SS 396 has a 402 backed by a TH400.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8-dscn1093.jpg

This 67 Chevelle SS has a 396 with a 4 speed.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...9-dscn1114.jpg

This 67 GTX is a 440 car with a TorqueFlite.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0-dscn1127.jpg

This 69 Yenko SC Camaro has been in the area since at least the early 80's and has had the same owner since 1984. He just recently had it repainted and has been a regular at the cruise in this year. There are a lot of small things that aren't correct, but it is a Yenko and he drives it. The interior is mostly original. There are holes in the dash bezel where the tach was mounted and the gauges above the ash tray were there when he bought it. It has a date correct CE block and M21. The owner believes the rearend is the original one and says it came with 4.56 gears. The body number is 202499. Both Vince E. and Ed C. saw this car back in the 80's after he bought it. It's definitely not perfect, but it's a nice driver.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dscn0568.jpg
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...4-dscn0572.jpg

The next two cars are from the cruise in at Cross Roads Community Church in Goshen. This is a large cruise in held yearly on the third Sunday in August.

This 66 Caprice was built by J. Randolf who lived across the street from me when I was growing up. It has a small block with TPI and a 4 speed automatic. I like the 67 Chevelle SS hood louvers grafted into the hood.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...5-dscn1106.jpg

This 65 Coronet has a 511ci Hemi backed by a TorqueFlite. It's said to be a 9 second car although I have never seen it at the track.

Great pics, thanks as always.

Those 30's-era (is that the brass era?) cars just stand the test of time and their beauty is just undeniable. Love seeing those.

Re: Musclecar Photographs mrays

Here are some photos I took up at US131 in Martin MI last Saturday. I was the last points race of the year and there were probably 200+ cars there.

This 52 Henry J was all steel except the scoop and had a 462ci big block that was pushing it to high 9's.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...6-dscn1131.jpg

This 87 Corvette has a 505 and was running 8.70's.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-dscn1135.jpg

This 86 Cutlass had a 415ci small block and was running 9.30's.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8-dscn1138.jpg

This Jerry Haas built S10 pickup had a 632 and was running 7.70's on the motor. The owner hopes to get into the 7.30's or so with some more tuning and then into the 6's on the bottle. This is one of the best sounding drag vehicles I've ever heard.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...9-dscn1142.jpg
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-dscn1153.jpg

This 73 Duster was running 10.00's.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2-dscn1149.jpg

This 67 Camaro had a monster big block and was running 8.10's.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dscn1158.jpg

This mid 80's pickup had a blown big block and was running mid 8's.
