I've had 50/50 luck with SMS. I got some NOS material dated exactly to when my Gramma's 75 Firebird's interior was manufactured. It was a dead-on color match of the saddle material but it was backed with some hard canvas-like material and not stretchable. My upholsterer ended up only being able to use it to make the piping that goes between the pieces. We ended up reusing the original panel that had abrasions on it. Luckily, it was the piping that had to be repaired in the first place, as it was shredded by the shoulder harness dragging across it.
So I guess the moral of the story is that you might get NOS material that matches the color but not the original application - like me getting piping vinyl instead of upholstery vinyl. |

Steve...same issue here..canvas backed..non stretchable..trying to source it elsewhere. Not much luck yet:(

This is a car that's going to steal every show it attends!!! Congrats on the build and I've never seen frost green look so damn good! I know my bro has at least 1 if not both of the rear taillight bezels (nos) if you're interested.
