Love watching planes land and take off? Get on board the PHX Sky Train. Located at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, the trains cross over an active airport taxiway. It's the only system in the world where you can do this. |

The Indiana Dunes (located on the shore of Lake Michigan) is a habitat for all sorts of interesting plants, including over 20 varieties of orchids. The largest dune is named Mount Baldy, and moves a few feet from the shore each year. |

The World's Largest Margarita was made in Nevada, taking over 300 hours and 60 people to make the 8,500-gallon behemoth. It was fittingly made at the Margaritaville Casino in Las Vegas. The two-story beverage was named "Lucky Rita." |

The state has more horses per square mile than any of the other 49 states. That's probably why the United States Equestrian Team is based in Gladstone, New Jersey. |

Always like this car. Came super close to buying one back in 1984. Only thing that stopped me was my company deciding to get me a company car. |

Did you know . . .
The first "W" code that Olds used was 1965's W29: 4-4-2 Performance package. This replaced 1964's code B09: Police Apprehender Pursuit package http://s26.postimg.cc/w4thebyi1/89280_Front_3_4_Web.jpg |
Did you know . . .
For the 1965 - 1967 Olds 4-4-2, the color scheme of the emblem on the air cleaner is different than those used on the body. The "2" is Yellow while the body emblem's "2" is Orange http://s26.postimg.cc/ngaxkn889/1967...muscle_cla.jpg http://s26.postimg.cc/b0e7qwew9/89280_Engine_Web.jpg |
All of these pics were taken by Tim Costello (Lots of folks know him from MCACN) and there is a neat article that goes along with Tim's pics...and it also talks about MCACN as well.
Grady Burch and a few other Yenko.net members are featured in the article as well! Link here : https://www.hotrod.com/articles/rare...gance-america/ Quote:

I have posted this photo before. Very surprised no one commented on it especially as the car is wearing 15" Magnum 500 wheels. Was Chevy considering making them and the accompanying 15" RWL tires an option? They should have IMO. |

I believe it's a photo of a final prototype AAR 'Cuda without the production exhaust. AAR 'Cudas have the radio antenna on the rear fender, not the front as seen in this photo. |

http://s26.postimg.cc/795k7bz3d/image.jpg One of the big difference between the 1970 'Cuda and the Challenger R/T was the 340 Magnum engine. With the 'Cuda you had your choice of the standard 383 Magnum or the 340 Magnum (N/C). There was no 340 Challenger R/T. You wanted the 340 in the Challenger you ordered the RPO A66 340 Engine Package. |

Back in 1996, now-decommissioned Concorde turbojets were something special indeed — there were only 20, and they could sustain cruising speeds up to a whopping 1,350 mph. Pepsi decided it needed a piece of this prestige, paying a confidential amount to have a Concorde painted blue and emblazoned with its logo. The jet completed only 16 flights to 10 cities with the special paint — it turns out the blue paint couldn't reflect or radiate heat as well as white, which meant the plane couldn't sustain its signature top speeds for more than 20 minutes. |

To promote the third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Amazon launched #MaiselDay on Thursday, when nearly 30 businesses in Santa Monica put up pink drapery and dropped prices to 1950s levels. A Chevron gas station offered gas for 30 cents a gallon during the Amazon Studios "Maisel Day" in Los Angeles on August 15, 2019 in Santa Monica, California. You can imagine how that turned out. |

Elvis Presley Animated Spy Series a Go at Netflix Netflix is adding the King of Rock 'n' Roll to its roster of animated series. The streamer has ordered an adult animated show called Agent King, which imagines Elvis Presley trading his white jumpsuit for a jet pack as he's inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the most famous rock 'n' roll star on the planet. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/li...etflix-1232569 |

A lot has been written about the truly magnificent success stories credited to Lee Iacocca. But like all extremely successful businessmen, there is always at least one spectacular failure. For Lee it would be his decision to cut a deal enabling Maserati to be a Chrysler brand. This resulted in the Chrysler TC by Maserati, a $600 million loss for Chrysler. |
