This Decal was from Mattingly Automotive in Greenfield Indiana. Mattingly Automotive was owned by John Mattingly. John was a prominent engine builder in the Indianapolis area. He built many motors for Drag cars and Stock cars in the Indy area. He built the motor for the "Motivation" Yenko camaro. We have been in contact with his family to see if we can get a clearer picture of there old logo and hopefully more pictures of the 'Motivation" Camaro. John passed away in 2013.

Rocker black out over the original body color out of the FISHER side would be correct...
The question is DID Chevrolet Assembly paint the rockers Body Color (GOLD) or did they paint the fender bottoms black? Dave Beems x66 yenko never had the fender bottoms painted black - it had the rockers repainted "body color" at the end of the Chevrolet line or if it escaped final inspection, at Yenko. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw...-no?authuser=0 https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw...-no?authuser=0 https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw...-no?authuser=0 |
Since Bill Hunter was the original owner ....I am sure there are original photos from 1969, 70, 71. To compare then and now...please ask him to help assist with photos. We would all like to see them.

A little diversion but that red 68 MP back halfed car was later turned into a D/Gas car with full chassis. Thought you’d like this shot.
