OK, back to Muscle Cars. These photos are from Mecum in Indy in 2010.

This 58 Corvette convertible was advertised as a mostly unrestored car with 90% of it's original paint along with it's numbers matching drivetrain. It sold for $90K.

This 65 Z16 Malibu SS is #3 of 201 built. It was documented with a build sheet and POP and was sold new at Rydell Chevrolet in Grand Forks ND. It was bid to $110K. It later sold at BJ for $154K.

This 68 Camaro SS convertible with an L78 was advertised as a numbers matching car that was documented with a POP. It was bid to $110K.

This 69 Z/28 was an X77 car with a 720 orange hounds tooth interior. It was advertised as having a correct DZ block and the original M20 transmission. The original block also came with the car. It sold for $72K.

I got the impression from reading the write up on this car that the W-30 equipment was dealer installed. This car was featured in the December 1987 issue of Muscle Car Review. It was bid to $38K.

----That white/orange gut Z was the car I did. The original block may have been with it but it was totally unusable. I never had more problems with a restoration than that one. Guys that saw it at MCACN the one year will remember the paint being dull. I had to repaint it a second time, and didn't trust the original painter so had to pay twice. Lost a friend/customer over it too, which is probably more important than the money at the end of the day.....Bill S
