Re: Old Street Scenes
These need to come back...are there any still in working condition anywhere? There were still 2 left in my area up to about 10 years ago both on route 113 a few miles out of south Dover.

Re: Old Street Scenes
Gary http://www.delseadrive-in.com/ Shouldn't be too far from you. Always at least 1 show or cruise in the summer, along with a classic movie. 2013 was "Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" |

Re: Old Street Scenes
There's a couple in Texas still, but a little far from you.
From what I have seen they are run down and just hanging on. |

This one (now "Ford Drive-In") is still operating in the Detroit area They are even open in the winter! (won't catch me there in the cold even with the "in-car heaters" ) Ford Drive-In |

It's in a very rough part of town. |
Re: Old Street Scenes
Those in New Jersey and Pennsylvania would be a hike. I wouldn't be able to convince my wife to go that far just for a movie.
Yeah...I have my own copy of 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad world' in DVD. That movie cracks me up, especially the part at the very beginning where Jimmy Durante kicks the bucket when he finally dies...literally. |
