It was ALL Grady, he is the Day 2 guru

Re: Is "stance" important?
wow! looks great! Like a button on a fat man's shirt, I would not want to be that chrome trim above that rear tire on a launch! But that is the way it has to be to be perfect (tight and dangerous)

Those are 255/60's on my 68 Mark. I think the rears are 8" rims while fronts are 7's. Previous owner had to clearance the fronts to fit over the 4 pistons brakes but I like the look of them on there. As for Grady's stance shot above...wow! |

I got my l78 nova out for the first time today,I'm on the fence about how high the front sits,I'm hoping it settles Some, it's not had an engine in it for 20 years or more

I'm late to the party, but this is a great thread!! Appears old race cars are popular here, so here's my AHRA Super Stock Chevelle, taken about 1975.

Very cool, Bill!

My Ol' Bird...383, A833 W/ V-Gate, 4:30....added the Hood after the RR hood blew off at the top of 3rd Gear.... on the street at around midnight. Fun Car, it always seem to sit a bit high. Ol' Skool for sure.

My buddy's '66 L78 Chevelle, 1972.

This thread seems more like a "post a picture of your car" thread than it is about getting the stance right.
|
Yes, stance is important.

I sold my 67 SS/RS survivor about three years ago and have regretted doing so. It was my go-to worry-free daily driver! Recently, I had the opportunity to buy it back... so I jumped at the chance (yes, I have the most loving and supportive wife ever)! Unfortunately, one of the owners along the way had nabbed these original rally wheels and redlines that we’re on it when I sold it.

I just scored these 14x10” slots which match up nicely with a set of fronts threat I had stashed away... I knew they’d come in handy one day! Here’s my new look.
Excuse the mis-matched rubber. These tires are so cracked on the sidewalls that I wouldn’t even drive to the mail box with ‘em. I also have a little rubbing on the fronts to deal with before spring. |
I see why you bought her back. Nice look Helmut!!
