Rick, do you know about what year the top frame was used. I have one from Beasley-Cross Chevrolet in Kannapolis NC that looks just like your frame even the red paint.

Bob, I do not nor did the gentleman who passed them onto me. It would be nice to know so that it will add to the history of the dealership. From what I was told one of the salesman from the era at V.V. Cooke now works for another dealership that either took it over or was nearby. I need to find the time to get back to Louisville to find my transmission and follow up on some of these other leads and meet some of the many people from the area that have contacted me.

People just continue to amaze me. Thanks to a fellow member "Big Gear Head" who offered to look at his local Louisville swap meet this past weekend and located some items for me, then introduced me onto another gentleman he met at the swap meet who had a ton of memorabilia. I have come across some really neat stuff though have not been able to purchase just yet. Thanks Freddie!

Then today I get this small USPS package in the mail with this really cool and hard to come by NOS blue bow tie emblem. No note, no nothing. After doing some sleuthing and back tracking the package I found it was from our buddy Mark Bulow. So I call Mark and ask him what he was doing. Says he wants to make a donation to mine and Annie's project to pay it back for something we did for him MANY years ago. I did not even remember it until he brought it up. Anyway, thank you Mark and Freddie! Such a breath of fresh air around here and to have and make such good friends.

Now THAT is stand up!! Well played Mark. It is certainly going to a good cause!!

I'll get that stuff sent out to you in a few days. The only blue bow tie that I spotted in Louisville was for the rear of a '69 Camaro. I didn't see any of the other parts that you were looking for.

Send me a bill Freddie and I will Paypal you the funds. :)

Hey Rick did this car come with Atlas alloy wheels on it new?

Luis 03-13-2018 01:30 AM

Congratulations....I'm very happy for you guys. I know it will return back to it glory days. Hope to see it when done.

Ron, no it did not but very likely that is what is going back on it.

Luis, THANK YOU for all your help as always. Luis drove over 8 hours to pick up a door in Maryland and deliver it to Jamie Cooper in Pennsylvania that I needed. That was WAY above what most anyone would do and greatly appreciate. Luis is one in a million!
