Re: Old Street Scenes
Love the Aussie cars too, please post more!
Is the SY Falcon mentioned one of the 4-Doors w/ 351 and factory shaker cars? Love to see more Aussie track shots w/ Holden Monaros or Vauxhall Droopsnoots, especially any of the 100 built Firenza Can-Ams w/ factory 302 SBC and Muncies! The Fiat poking out behind the red rocket streetcar picture looks like the same car tooling by in the other Toronto pics we looked at here yesterday, the one w/ the '70 Cuda and Challenger driving opposite ways. It was the thread w/ the a barn find '69 Copo Camaro reported to be coming out of hiding after 30 plus years in a Toronto garage...thread deleted now? ~ Pete |

Holden Torana circa 78 GMH 5.0 GM 'aussie 4speed' and 10bolt axle, car's about the same size as a Monza
http://i1010.photobucket.com/albums/...ps16928a54.jpg Holden 1968 HK series GTS327. [Saginaw 4spd & 10 bolt axle] http://i1010.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2f4170bc.jpg This pix shows the town of Bathurst below from the top of the mountain circuit. The pits are the building in the background. Legend has it that ex Canadian Allan Moffatt was taken to the roadcourse and given the tour of Bathurst. While on the public rd he said 'nice veiw, now where is this racetrack' only to be told your on it!!. He said it was the last time he looked left while up the top of the track! lol. No safety fencing back then. Just a public road closed for racing once a year. http://i1010.photobucket.com/albums/...psffcb00a2.jpg Sport sedan series http://i1010.photobucket.com/albums/...ps58468fa5.jpg ZL1 Vs Boss...Bob Jane has to fit a 350 later to comply with racing scrutineering. As Aust production cars only came with 5.8 or 5.7 litre engine.Bob had to comply hence the 350 addition to the Camaro http://i1010.photobucket.com/albums/...pse054bc15.jpg Pete Geoghan in his coupe was a frontrunner. He drove the 'superfalcon' FI351C for the Factory http://i1010.photobucket.com/albums/...ps43f15505.jpg |

Re: Old Street Scenes
wow! That 32 Ford pickup is a very rare slabside version ... I can't imagine what one of those would be worth today ...
