I am getting a photo of the other inner fender...it is hilarious to see what the assembly line worker was (smoking) when he had a field day with the staple gun. Lol

I completely understand Dave my brain is always on 69 as well... you’ll like the next photo it really shows how assembly line working has differences....During this car build we found 4 weird things that should not happen but did laugh out loud

Staple Maniac

The assembly line worker must’ve been smoking dope or brand new to his job
And rest assured we are going to put every staple in every hole
Wow, you weren't kidding. That's a good one! I was the first one to disassemble my 69 thankfully. I found a few things here and there like that too.
It’s assembly line at its best in 67-69....it was a manual labor job. Good guys with good intentions...most of the time.

Maybe we ought to apply for "Landmark" status?
Maybe the trigger on the air stapler stuck on. Stuff happens!

Even back then the posi tag was already falling off. Man the glue they used was junk. Great pics!
Dave ....from Franks research of removing original posi paper decals...he realized that they only put enough adhesive on the paper to hold it in place... So they never glued it all the way out to the edges. So he duplicated the paper decal to give it the same results with all of the edges being loose.
