Dan </div></div> You got it!! Saturday is GO-DAY!! I have borrowed shop space to remove and store the front clip, the body, and the hood at while I restore the chassis at my house.(I will slip out to that shop tonight and unload the three cans of penetrating oils so they have some time to sink in) Ryan https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...tty_dad_me.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...emove_body.jpg |

Jamie learning to use a ratchet:-)
Last night we were preparing tools to take with us and he organized all my fractional (inch) tools who uses the imperial system any more? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...6-img_3105.jpg Dad and I removing the Dixco for safe keeping, Al mentioned that he only drilled the main hole not the additional screws. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-img_3106.jpg My wall art:-) https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8-img_3107.jpg Bumper coming off, I was surprised Oldsmobiles have many brackets and many tar paper shields everywhere. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...9-img_3109.jpg Selfie:-) Not to serious around here. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0-img_3111.jpg Bumper off, we put every bolt possible back were they came off for now so we don't forget. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-img_3112.jpg "Chop Cut Rebuild" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2-img_3113.jpg The "Clip ramp" worked like a charm, 2X4's up on the sway bar to slide the front clip down to the ground on. The rad saddle once touching the 2X4's slid down nicely;-) https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-img_3115.jpg |

Are you guys working in an igloo? Where is that secret base you are working in? Ice Sation Zebra?

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Fantastic
Once you get everything off the firewall you need to look for crayon markings on your firewall. I know you have a lot of undercoat through-out your car, so look carefully for hidden markings. Did you try to loosen an frame bolts yet? Dan |

I will be careful to look for markings as we move along!! One night a week plus Saturday's is the minimum:-) Bruce: Just like Charley "get out of my car" Ryan |

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
"The Igloo" is a Future Steel Building the half round "Quonset" building. The insulation is quite labour intensive to install as the building is corrugated, but we figured it out:-)
With a normal space heater it was comfortable (but the outside temp was pretty reasonable) Ryan |
