In the early 20th century, home telephones were still a relatively new innovation. So it was audacious for Nikola Tesla, an engineer and inventor who briefly worked with Thomas Edison, to suggest, in 1909, that someday people would be walking around with phones in their pockets.

the first person to dream about the possibilities of a globally connected community is just as surprising. Mark Twain imagined such a future in his 1898 short story “From the ‘London Times’ of 1904,” where he introduced readers to something called a “telelectroscope” that used the phone system to create a worldwide network for sharing information.

All 1970 Cougar Eliminators (and Cyclones - all models) which originally were sold in California only had 20 gallon fuel tanks. The other 49 states got 22 gallon.

If you ordered the Drag Pak option for your 1970 Boss 302 Cougar Eliminator you got the 4.30 rear. Unlike the 428 CJ & SCJ the 3.91 was not available as a Drag Pak (you could order the 3.91 with Traction-Lok though). Mercury called the 3.91 rear the Drag Pak and the 4.30 rear the Super Drag Pak BTW.

Criminals have no shortage of finding creative ways to smuggle drugs. The possibilities are endless, keeping law enforcement personnel on their toes. However, one shipment of illegal methamphetamine from Mexico went awry when they ended up at the wrong dealer. Instead of in the hands of drug dealers, the drugs landed at 13 Ford dealerships across eastern Canada, the result of a costly logistical mistake made by the smugglers. Oops.

According to the news release from Ontario Provincial Police, employees at four dealerships, tasked with inspecting the newly arrived vehicles, discovered non-spec spare tires in several of the Ford Fusion sedans. Upon closer inspection, the employees found the tires packed with packages of meth who then called the authorities. Police contacted Ford who provided shipping information for the vehicles.

Nine of 14 vehicles searched at the 13 Ford dealerships contained meth. Six vehicles on a second rail car from the same shipment in Mexico were also found to contain meth. The police were then able to stop a similar shipment of cars as it entered Canada. Nearly 400 pounds (180 kilograms) were discovered packed into the cars, which the police estimated had a street value of $4.5 million.

Somebody got whacked over that!
Buddy

Looks like it is sitting on the circular brick pad in front of the GM Heritage Center.

A fresh rumor claims that Chevrolet will pull the plug on the Camaro after the 2023 model year, meaning there won’t be a seventh-generation of Chevrolet’s pony car to carry on its legacy of affordable performance.
