I have located a correct pair of belts with the exact date that we needed. Thanks to Matt Lamer that contacted me and made this happen.
I want to see some pics of the car and I'm sure other do as well.
I will ask Frank ...I was there 2 weeks ago. We were waiting on the headers but now they are done and installed....it’s time to push the subframe under it and build the nose ...we have exactly 2 months from today until the unveiling at MCACN...I will ask Frank for pics...I will be going over there soon as well . Dave are you coming over to Franks anytime soon ? We can grab lunch if you can ..my treat .
Yes, I want to go over to Franks and deliver some parts he requested at the Camaro Nationals. However, I haven't for the simple fact it will interfere with your car. So I decided to drop the parts off after MCACN and assist in assembly (making it a roller).
I completely understand Dave feel free to come over anytime and let me know I would enjoy us grabbing some lunch. Let me know when you have time or are able to go
Thanks to Guy Amato of Baltimore area for helping us with the perfect restoration of the driveshaft including the correct stripping. Pictures will follow during Franks installation. Here are a couple photos of the u joints installed.

Hope to have a few more pics of the nose being built and a cool code found on the lower front valance
Doug - how do those headers fit? I bought the same set for my '68 but have not installed them yet.
Car looks great BTW. |
These are the original headers that came with the car from Yenko ...Frank had to drop the subframe to get them to fit and to not scratch things...very very tight fit with almost little clearance....I can only imagine how Yenko did it in 67 and 68
Tony...I would be happy to put you in touch with Frank if you need any info

Love the tires , Very nice work !!
Thanks Scott...They are the G70 15 White stripe Firestone Super Wide Oval as installed by Yenko Chevrolet...it was part of the conversion package. We found the original spare in the trunk...so it took alot of help from many people on this site such as Matt Lamer, Brian Potter, Tom Sholtz, Frank Arone to locate 4 original superb tires ...in all they came from Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York.

Dave, I think you are comparing 67 to 69. There is a difference. My guess is that they are different between 67-69

FYI - this is a cropped portion of some original photos from an early 68 Z that was upon purchase converted to race form. This photo was taken just before parts were removed. You can see the staple just to the left of the heater hoses. Unfortunately I am not a liberty to share the complete photo.
