Re: Is "stance" important?
Since we are on the subject of "stance"...wow I can't believe this thread is this long but anyway---Out of curiosity what do you guys think about the stance on my Camaro. Good or bad?

Looks good -- a skoshi nose down ... TAZ

Re: Is "stance" important?
Nice car, looks good to me.

Re: Is "stance" important?
Here is my GTX where the lift master air shocks still on it from 67 allow you to adjust the rear stance, I push the car's back end as far as it can go. I had a guy adjust the front end as far as it could go with the torsion rods, as it looks so good raised up.

That GTX looks just right, nice job.

Re: Is "stance" important?
Thanks for the compliments, all I try to do is emulate the stance of a factory street racer. It will make you think twice if it pulled up next to you, as it has nailed it's stance (i.e. a little high, just a small rake).

Re: Is "stance" important?
Mmm, mmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmm. Love the 68-72 Novas too.
Grew up with my friend in Upland, Pa who had a forest green, L78 with a T400, bench seat, column shift, 4.88's and rubber floors. Wish I bought that from him back in '74. We had fun in C/SA at Cecil County all the time... |
Re: Is "stance" important?
I saw this car today at a car show in Boone County IL and I thought the stance was killer!

How's this one from last weeks Mecum auction. I wish I saw this car in person, anyone know anything about it?

At the GTOAA Nats a few weeks ago, my wife looked at this car and commented on its "perfect stance". We don't talk about "stance" all that much, so I think it is obviously a good example and made me think of this thread.

Re: Is "stance" important?
Concur. Sits just right and tires fill out the openings nicely too!
