To paraphrase George Goebel... The car is a tuxedo, and the radials are a pair of brown shoes.

Actually, those are M/Ts. G60 15s on 8in rims. Only about an inch narrower, but a couple inches shorter.
Think of it this way. Were goin for a ride in the Mule, and she needs her walkin around shoes on. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif
It's also slightly illegal to run slicks on the street in Ia.

Please note: my IT person sent the glove box picture to Mr. Forman in error. That picture belongs to a Yenko deuce.
She sends her apologies, after telling me to get it the Hell straight next time, or do it myself. Thank you for your patience. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif

Hey Alan how about we throw a little of that waterbourne paint on this one. I tried talking Sam into it on the deuce but he was worried when it rained the puddle under the car would be blue. Like he'll ever have it in the rain. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif No honestly the system works great. Let me know, it will be orange soon.

i know that some of the manufacturers are using that paint system https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

are there advantages to the system besides saving a tree or two?

Funny car guys use water based paint because it ends up being lighter, due to no primer/sealer needed I believe?

I posed this question to my reps. He spent 1/2 a day weighing toner from both water and petro systems and there are to many variables to conclude which one weighs less.
As far as benefits, I believe some time in the near future most if not all shops will by law have to use water based product. Where we are located my boss chose to switch due to air quality permits. I've been spraying water for almost a year and it works and looks great. I don't see any down side to using it.

Yeah Joe, I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif ! I've painted with water colors before and my Momma was able to get all of it out of my clothes, shoes, hair, floor, teeth, dog, etc. with just a little soap, water, and elbow grease https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif !!
