[/ QUOTE ] No offense, but your opinion sucks. Why is everyone being so harsh? What stinks is not the story, but the posts from some of you. [/ QUOTE ] That reply is offensive, is unwarranted. |
Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
If this car was full of pine needles and green then I know what car it is, and the Philly burbs don't count as Philadelphia.....

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
Guys I dont understand some of you. These statements about miles is getting out of hand. My opinion and ONLY my opinion is when a car is so badly rusted and everything has to be replaced and everything has to be rebuilt then 2000 miles on the odometer does not mean anything. ISNT THAT TRUE?? Why cant some of you grasp this? This is the case with this car. Its my understanding after talking privatly to some people who know the car and know BIll they say it was in sad sad shape. The car is almost done now and I dont think any of you are going to see any pics of it before is was resurected. I could be wrong but we will see.. That was my only point. I dont have anything against Bill but I think he is hyping it up with Atlantic city coming up with no documentation.
Forget taping the guy. Get him to sign an afidavit to all of this story and have it notorized so if it turns out to be a story then the new buyer will have some recourse against him instead of the seller. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |
Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
don,i didn`t know the car was that bad a shape, your right its all up to bill now,and if the car was that bad 2000 miles don`t mean that much. thanks ..richie

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
-----I have also read this entire thread. This is also personal opinion but I think we all should think a bit more before we stab the keys. Being disrespectful is never right weather its a newbie or Charlie (well maybe,,,,Aah, nah). I stick my foot in my mouth as much or more than anyone but you wont ever catch me making the BS type statements. There are other (better) ways to say the same thing......Bill S

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
It seems that this car is for real after all...it also seems as if this fellow is not trying to market his vehicle at the moment...he readily admits it was in bad shape when he got it and it is being restored...and that it will be 5 or 6 months until it is done...if my math is correct i dont believe it will be ready for Atlantic City in February..
as far as the 2000 original miles...probably 99.9% of the 69 camaros have been restored..atleast once...give me an original drivetrain 2000 original mile restored Z-28 anyday over a 100k mile restored Z....or even a 3000 mile restored Z...We all can agree that an original survivor car is probably more valuable if it is in excellent condition...but the fact that it has only 2000 miles puts this car in a category of less than 1% of all camaros I suspect...that alone makes the car extremely attractive to me... I just dont know why now that it seems apparent that the car does exist, that anyone has to continue to rain on this guys parade...I would surely be thrilled as I suspect most of you would also...and why does anyone have to insinuate that he has bad intentions and is only trying to market the vehicle ...I dont get it... it also appears that the owner has taken many pics of the car also...before and during resto...again I dont get the skeptism and negatism(is that a word) at this point and as far as the notarized statement...I got that from the original owner of my 67 Z also...but if I were buying the car, i would be more interested in the video of the owner recounting all the stories about the car...I suspect any judge in court would accept a video of 3 hours from the original owner as evidence of equal or greater value than notarized statement...but Im no lawyer And with all due respect to all of you...I do respect each and everyones opinion, as long as it is put forth in a respectful manner...God Bless America!!! And as far as the owner of the car...Congrats and Good Luck with a great find!!!! I know Im jealous...(in a good way!!) |

I just think posting pictures is a good idea for anyone who decides to post their story about a recent find. It tends to seperate 'reality from fantasy'. God knows we've had a few stories on here in the past.

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
I live outside of Philly and I was thinking about this thread today and it seeme like possibly one or a few members here may have knew about this car but may have not been interested because it was rusty or in real bad shape..or full of pine needles...Im not sure if it is the same car or not, but I would gladly pay a finders fee to anyone that knows of any other early Camaros (or any muscle car for that matter)that are too far gone for your liking...assuming the info. leads to the purchase of the car...ESPECIALLY if it is a 2k mile original drivetrain 69 Z ex-racer...even if it is nowhere near Philly...I travel alot.....one mans junk is another mans treasure!!
20 years ago I was buying 6 cyl plain Jane camaros for less than 500 bucks and replacing floors, wheelhouses, quarters(all repro) and paint and reselling for 3k to 5k...(I was doing and still do all the work myself) My JL-8 car has very minor rust in the quarter wheel lips ...I know that it will need the same wheel houses and quarters as if it had major rust in the quarter panels..I would like more to buy a car that I can see the rust and I know needs work than a car that has been quasi-restored and that once I start sanding, I find out it needs everything anyway feel free to contact me!! |
Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
I buy anything thats for sale... in any shape, trust me. If its too expensive for my taste then i pass it on lol.

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
Guy's this story is a real fishy one! The guy with the car and the story is the same guy that had the so called Yenko at Carlisle car corral for sale i'm sure you all remember looking at that one!!! The Z is not real and i am 101% sure it did not come from Philly but i am sure his paperwork will say it did.Oh or did the owner find the original paperwork yet???This is just a setup for when the car appears so people will think it is a real car with history.Nice try but we are not that stupid.Crossram in the trunk HAAAA!!! The guy's MOM was there in the kitchen in a hospital bed on Oxygen lol !!!COME ON!!! I'm here with the guy that bought the silver Z with the flat hood new No wait OH it had a cowl hood??? When was the car built or what will the Cowl tag say when you make it???? Simple pics were not posted because it would show the Base Camaro coupe used to start the project LOL I think you can all figure this one out???

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
Its my understanding after talking privately to some people who know the car and know BIll they say it was in sad sad shape.
is it me or am I crazy...according to GTODON, I am assuming that we have established that this car does in-fact exist...and I assume if there are people here that knew this car they would surely be first to come forth and let us all know that it is not really a Z....can anyone confirm for all of us that they knew the car prior to the new owner purchasing it.....or am I really crazy https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif ive been told so a few times!!! |
Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
that first line in my last thread was a quote from GTODON, although it did not come out that way...just wanted to clarify...sorry

52-52X66L89 , please fill in your profile. If you only want to use your initials, with no location, then you will get little respect for making statements like your first post.
If you think that the car's story was maligned, people who jump in without anybody knowing who they are don't get too warm of a reception when they attack with no proof to back up their attack. We welcome differing opinions, but we want to know where of you speak. New members are better received when they introduce themselves first, so we know who you are, and why we should believe what you say. Thank you. |
Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
Trust me the guy's reputation is plenty enough to speak for itself on building fake cars out of nowhere. I think everyone knows the guy pulls cars out of the blue and makes them up.It is widely known. Just check out the Red White LS6 Chevelle on Ebay another of his beauties! This one has been on there a few times and we all have discussed it at times.Do your research and trust yourself and P.S. no one said they know the car to be a real Z??? someone said they may know it if it was covered with pine needles and thats just a guess. NO REAL CAR!!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
Well said, doctor. I have no shame in introducing myself by name, and yet we let threads like this spin out of control because it's an open forum and anybody who can type in a set of initials is allowed to throw down.
There must be a reason for wishing to remain annonymus in a public forum. A man (or Wife) who won't introduce themselves by name makes me wonder why that is. I have to take what they say, and the folks who throw down against them, with a block of salt. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif 427king, who paid to join, (and has a rightious fear of someone finding his parts stash), can remain unkown. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif At least he has a sense of humor. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
I have spoken to a few members from this board and a few other people who know Bill and most of them tell me the car exist.Others say it does not. I dont know if it does or not and I dont know Bill personally. Only things I hear. Im not going to go into that here. Theres alot of pvt messaging going on but no one wants to come out and say what they are saying in private. They know who they are and its up to them to come forth. With all that said I just feel that the story of the car is a little greater than the car probably is. Im sorry if Offended Bill but Im always in trouble for speaking the truth. Its just my opinion. I just feel he came here to pump the car up for the Atlantic city car auction. I may be wrong but I do know the car will be for sale. Everyone here knows that if that story was true that takes the car from 75k to 150k so thats why everybody is suspect I guess. Anyway I too would love to see the before and after pics to see what I missed coming out of my back yard. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif Good thing it was not a Judge https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram
Well I think we all should give Bill a chance to show some pictures and produce the car. I am sure the car exists and will be ready for the show circuit or car coral when it is done. But as most guys on this site stated....pictures would be great! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
