I don't think you're supposed to "wax" flat black with anything, or it won't be flat very long. I used to use some sort of aerosol spray Stoner's makes on the matte black headlight coves on my '97 SS Camaro...spay it on and buff it with a microfiber cloth to give the black more "pop" without making it shiny. As far as a "wax" goes, the Supercar Workshop guys turned me onto Formula 113 years ago... I've tried (and still own) nearly every Meguiar's wax, tan bottles black bottles and blue bottles, but none make black shine like 113. Take a look at any of the cars Brian and Joe do, none of 'em ever get anything but Formula 113 wax and "Bead-X" detailer, and I don't think you can find a car with a better gloss or more depth than ANY of those. Not to mention, its a breeze to use....even on cars that haven't been waxed in years. Try it!

just use a good car detergent on flat black and chamois.

Anyone use synthetic chamois instead of the real thing to dry.

Yep, a "Water Sprite" is my personal favorite... the longer you have them, the better they work.
