--------Thanks as always, Bruce. Great job, great cars. The Starliner was, I beleive, owned by John Vermersh (SP) when it was in Detroit. He is the SOHC guru around here and does all kinds of work for Ford and on Fords. Used to come into local cruises with a nice 63 Ford Country Squire towing a California dragboat with a blown SOHC drivetrain. Made quite an impression the first time you saw him in that rig. Wonder who owns it now?......Bill S

We drove up Friday to Vegas, camping out in the KOA sipping my coffee as I write this. Can't do Pavillons next week either, gotta fly up to Spokane to do Dad's Day with one of the kids at college.

Car Craft did an article on him and his "sock-motor" Starliner way back in about 1980, I think in the "Cruisin' USA" series, and I learned about the 6-foot SOHC timing chain from that article. If I can find it I'll post it.
