Bob is part of Championship Auto Shows, Inc., the group that will now be in charge of Vettefest. We are totally committed to making this the best indoor Chevy show in the world. Al and Ken have done a great job over the years getting things rolling and now we will work on making it even better. Thanks to people like you forum members...we are well on our way!

Sorry to report but due to some delivery issues with one of my subs, the LS-6 rolling drivetrain will NOT be displayed at VF. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif Thanks Tom for allowing me the opportunity to partake in the club display. Another two weeks and I would have been there.

Yes, Friday. Arrive between 4-4:30 AM, with TV crews starting to film at about 5:00AM.

What they did two years ago, was every so often the local TV network would do a live remote from Vettefest, each time focusing on a particular car/owner.

Thanks Darren, unfortunately I need to get the rolling drivetrain done so as to be able to mate the completed body back on which will be done shortly for a magazine deadline. That and the fact that I REALLY want to go deer hunting (have not missed one in 18 years) means I need to pass. If I had it done, VF would take priority this year!

Got a call from Wayne Bushy, who is putting the finishing touches on John Oehler's 1968 <font color="red"> Red </font>Gibb Nova. Plans are to drop by the Gibb dealership in LaHarpe for a photo shoot, then on the Vettefest to join the sYc display with other Gibb cars.

You need to say "hi" in person...We just got Ricks car in the shop and we all thought that it would be cool to take it to VF before the restoration starts. Its such a great example as it sits. This could very well be the biggest Fred Gibb get together ever and we are proud to be able to bring two of the cars. I will be attending Vette Fest and can finally meet some of the ones that post here. Seeing those Gibbs will be worth the trip. I had to miss the SYC 8 due to Katrina and the havoc created to the family that I have inherited. Looking forward to Chicago. I am sure it will be worth the trip.

The weather forecast for the next 10 days calls for high 50s/low 60s so if you were holding out before entering in case of a blizzard or some other unforeseen weather situation, rest assured it will be OK.
