How come as I get older, I appreciate the unrestored cars more and more. I still like a nice, fresh restoration, but cars I uses to think needed restoring I now appreciate for what they are.

There is alot of truth to what you said and I have also noticed that my perception of things have changed by getting older. The bottom line is, we all love musclecars! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: My new "barn find" '67 Z-28 :)

Actually, I unexpectedly lost my job earlier this year and panicked a bit and offered the car to a friend during a weak moment. I gave him 3 months to raise the money which ends on Octboer 14th. If he declines, then I am keeping it as things are looking better financially now. Ironically, I just bought another one this week which is the same color but with a black top https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Glad to see that things are going much better, Mark. You weren't panicked...just concerned...I'll keep an eye out for that LT-1 for you...though I don't know if I'm going to Pavillions this weekend...work, ya know!

OK Ron, but I don't think I will be selling either of these two anytime soon. I really wish I had never offered the project car to my friend, but I won't go back on my word and back out of the deal. There is a '67 Z body for sale on Camaros.net that I used to own...Marina Blue on blue radio delete with a 4.88 rear...

Thanks guys https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif Yeah, I really like this one also. Here's a shot of the original motor.

Mosport, I own 2 currently and have owned 7 in total, plus turned another 5 or 6 over to friends who were looking when I wasn't prepared to buy.

Patience Bruce! Based on what I know about the car today, the write up would suck! Let's see...it would go something like...A guy I know called me up and offered me his car. My buddy lived nearby and went and took a look at it for me. He said it was nice and had the original drivetrain, so I bought it. I understand it is originally from Kansas....

See, it sucks! Give me a few days and I bet it gets much better https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Awesome cars Mark. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif Someday... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

FWIW, I'd trade all of my camaros for an original 67 Z/28.

Is that vinyl top one the same car that was on eBay about a year ago? It was also butternut yellow with a black top.

Great purchase Jonesy! A 67 Z/RS, very hard to top that! Have any current pictures since the photo was taken in March of this year? Restoration progress in motion?

Mr. T

I havent done anything except get numbers/codes off it. The previous owner bought it in 1976 and it sat in storage since then. It was found out in WA, came from Courtesy Chev in CA I was told. Resto could start sometime this winter. Just gathering parts right now. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

You all may be interested in reading the latest issue of Chevy Rumble. There's a nice feature on another owner of an original 67 Z28,..a guy who bought it after seeing an ad in Hemmings in 1991.

Re: My new "barn find" '67 Z-28 :)

Jonesy, i have had mine know for about 4yrs. and i am still looking for parts and researching it's history. And the 3911 carb is next impossible to find, and cost is crazy. Two years ago i paid 1200 for the carb. And that carb was used only on 67 302, and 396/375hp cars with K-19. So number of cars built with this carb is very low. Roger

Oak Harbor, WA to be exact. Roger, I havent even seen or heard of anyone who has a 3911 carb. There was a 3910 that came with my car dated 742.
