Re: Pictures of Last Original Motion Car Built
mr70,
You asked about who did the resto work. It was done by Tim Henderson of Winner's Circle Muscle & Rods. You can find him in Brownsburg, IN (Indy suburb) 317-858-0494. He is REAL good. Dan |

And not to far from Chicago!
Thank You Dan. |
Re: Pictures of Last Original Motion Car Built
Was that a 6 leaf spring. Think they were a over the counter racing part used by the A/Prod racers. If it is, a fact but FIRM ride will be yours. If it is, interesting that Joe was still going to the Chevy parts book in 1974.

Re: Pictures of Last Original Motion Car Built
It it looks like a 75 rear bumper to me. Those colors were popular back then.

Re: Pictures of Last Original Motion Car Built
74 bumper with 75 lamps. when I did it I couldn't find any new 74 lamps so joel and I desided that the closest we could get was 75's.

Those colors were popular back then. [/ QUOTE ] You're right Pantera, check out this Motion lookalike built sometime in the late 70's early 80's. Brown/Gold. Most people would hate it today, but to me it has sort of a cool retro look. Car is a NOM '70 RS/SS 350 M-22, and is currently for sale. If anyone is particularly interested, shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can find out more about it. Just thought some of you may enjoy seing some more retro "rootbeer" flavor. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Is it time to leave for the SCR7 yet? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif |
Re: Pictures of Last Original Motion Car Built
Are you shure that is not the other way around? '74's have a split down the center that should show in the pic. I may be wrong but it sure doesn't show in the pic I saw. Am I wrong?
I have a '74 that I made a clone of a '78 Pace car out of back just before they came out. I used a '76 rear bumper on it and sure had fun with it because the new cars were not out for about a month. I had one used car dealer chase me halfway across town wanting to buy it. he was pissed when he saw it was me driving it when he finally caught up to me. |
Re: Pictures of Last Original Motion Car Built
I kinda like Rootbeer still to this day. That is a nice looking car. What is wrong with the colors? Anything with a gold stripe is alright with me.... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif
Just wait till Friday and you will see what I mean. |

Re: Pictures of Last Original Motion Car Built
yes it is a 74' bumper. I looked for months for an original. The origial one from the car was missing when it came to me. that one came from a local corvette shop that had it in the rafted for many years. The front is one of the last nos gm's also. brand new when I put it on. Glad to see it's still popular. Please put up more pics of this one from the show.
