Muslecarz... I think you got the decal location/year backwards. [/ QUOTE ] I was going to check my GTO Resto book when steved posted this. I recalled the same thing: in '69 they put the decal on the airfoil, then in 70 & 71 it went on the deck lid right lower corner. Trivia: How many 455's were put into the '69 Judges? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif ~Goat72 Go Patriots! |

Back in the early 80's in Muskogee, we raced at this dead end road every Sunday evening during the summer. This is what we lived for. The town officals grew tired of it after a few years and covered the road with a hill of dirt to stop it.

70 GTO finds it's demise in a yard in Muskogee, probably 83. This yard closed shortly after and most of the cars are still there untouched. I posted another pic from there a while back.

My 69 thought I bought in 1979 for $500 after working for the money bagging groceries, still sits in my garage.

Here is the '69 Bill bought in 1979 for $700 while machining and building motors (that was the job he had as a teenager). It's still in our garage today along with his first car, a 1970 GTO https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

So far this is the only 70's photo I have come up with of cars from our dealership, one of our customers took this the day he bought it from us in 76.
Looks like there may be a nice Pony in the background. |

The was a billboard thread in another area. Here is one thing to do with a billboard sign, this was courtesy of GM although I don't think it's what they had in mind.

This was the winter of 1981, Tulsa chapter of the GTO Association of America. Notice the white jacket on Larry Crider to the left. Monte Lee's black Judge was one sweet ride.

Re: Cool Judge photo
Here's a really nice Judge that sold on Ebay just a couple of weeks ago, by looks of the PHS included in the auction it must be a very loaded car.
Ebay Judge |
Re: Cool Judge photo
That Ebay Judge looks like a deal but I get the feeling that the RA4 engine is not there. He just says it has a 400" Pontiac engine.
|
Re: Cool Judge photo
The shot of the engine is not conclusive, but suspect for sure. Notice also the power brake booster and power steering not listed on the PHS, which would have to be if correct. The white console is a little silly too, but still a nice car.

This is Merle Green's restored Tin Indian at the 2004 POCI in Joplin, very very nice car and even more interesting history that Merle is happy to share.
Excellent job on the car Merle!!! http://www.empgmc.com/race/tinindianpoci04.jpg |

Re: Cool Judge photo
I haven't developed my pics yet, I got this from some one else. I have two links to POCI pics if that's what your after.
1. Heartland TA Club 2. Joe's pics My favorite was a unrestored black 57 fuelie that pulled in late Saturday, had a mean sounding hole in one of the rusted tailpipes and a couple of pieces falling off. Bad to the bone, you will probably have to wait until I get mine developed on that one. |

Re: Cool Judge photo
From POCI, still haven't developed the film? If your talking about my great grandma's, let me see if anyone has a picture of it still.

Re: Cool Judge photo
Another junkyard pic, 70 Judge Silver and supposedly a IV car. Mid 80's and this is NOT me making the cheesy car poses, I'm behind the camera. The scan looks a little funny, I had to lighten it up a lot to get the shadows off the lower half of the car.
