This is from the Deuce trunk lid. Wallace Chevrolet put this on because the YENKO crest was stolen. Does anyone have a Wallace Chevrolet license plate frame?

Re: Dealer Emblems
Very Creative..Thats interesting how Wallace used the Standard Chevrolet bowtie Design, and filled it up with their Address & Info.
I may have found a Wallace License Plate Frame. I will PM you if it Pans out. Rick |
Re: Dealer Emblems
Mike that is cool. Hopefully you can carefully remove the decal and have it reproduced and put it back on when the resto is done!

How about this one... sold a few Deuces. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/56422-eriksen.jpg

Re: Dealer Emblems
SSL78 that is cool. Is that body man the same guy that you told me about last time we saw each other? There are now three different Jack Douglass decals that have surfaced. The one that is on the back of your car, the one on Shors, and now this one. We can ask the source himself on Saturday Nov 22nd! Ed called me a few days ago and asked what day would be the best for Jack Douglass and him to attend and I said that Saturday would be cool.

I found this plate frame at a swap meet where the guy had some 60s parts. Anyone know what year its from? It looks old but I never saw one like this.

Re: Dealer Emblems
Camarojoe, you said that Ericksen sold a few deuces. I know of only one. A fathom blue 4spd. Do you know of any more? Schonye

Re: Dealer Emblems
No now that you mention it, I cant say that i do... Marlin would know how many were sold there... i was thinking there was more than just one, but maybe not.
|
Re: Dealer Emblems
Just one to my knowledge, however most dealers sold at least 3 - appears to be the initial minimum order quantity for Deuces.

What year did chevy sell 3 million cars and trucks? |
Re: Dealer Emblems
Joe
"3 Million plus" Decal is from 1972-3.I had a lucite plaque with the slogan"Thanks 3 Million" dated late 1971,signed by John Delorean. The BBall/HDogs/APie decal is from 1973. Rick |

Here is one from Schoney from his one owner Yenko Deuce Nova. Cliff Peck Chevrolet Little Rock, AR.

Re: Dealer Emblems
Thanks for posting that Frank. Thats not the one owner deuce though. I think it may have had 6 official owners, including Vince Emme.
The one owner is the Rapids chev deuce. That car has no dealer emblem except on the back of the inside rearview mirror it says, delivered to Rapids chev. Schonye |

Dealer in Jamestown NY, part of the Yenko network... anyone know what supercars if any, were sold new here? Almost looks like these were made by the same place that made the "Motion" emblems, doesn't it?

Re: Dealer Emblems
Are you sure?
Berglund Chevrolet is located today in Roanoke Va.,and has been there for the last 35 years. They have other Dealership branches in other locatons, but none of them are or were located in Jamestown,NY.back then. I have seen your emblem put on Cars sold out of Berglund in Va.in the past. |
Re: Dealer Emblems
Kind of like Berger Chevrolet , I have a match book cover that shows Berger Chevrolet but out of MN not Mich. Doubt they were connected though.
|
Re: Dealer Emblems
Maybe I have the location incorrect, I do know Bergland was listed in the Yenko Network, I will have to check where they list the location when i get home... Anyone own a Yenko sold new here?
|
Re: Dealer Emblems
CamaroJoe
I do show Berglund in Jamestown NY. in the Yenko network too.I was not questioning that, but rather if this specific Emblem indeed came from that specific location? You would think if there were two identical Chevrolet dealership names in the country at that time, they would cast their location in the emblem. |

There have been a couple of similar dealer decals that have been posted here in this thread. For one their is the Jack Douglass and Jack Phelan Chevrolet decals which Shor and I posted in the first page of this thread that are very similar to each other. I also noticed the Wallace Chevy and the Ron Rice decals are similar also.
Here are a couple of cool ones that I have that are very similar as well. This one is a NOS vintage decal from the old Chicago Chevy dealer Ferrell Hicks Chevrolet that was located at 5727 S. Ashland in Chicago IL. This decal was from the 60's-70's. http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/...8373392849.jpg |
Re: Dealer Emblems

Here is the other that is VERY similar. Bill Jacobs Chevrolet is still located in Joliet, IL which is about 35 miles out side Chicago. They do huge business in new Corvette sales today. They were roumored to have been a supercar dealer that sold both Yenko and Dick Harrell cars. This dealer decal is NEW but they have been EXACTLY the same since at least the late 60's. I saw an original owner family 69 Nova SS L78 4 speed last summer at the Joliet cruise night. The original decal was still on the back of the car and was identical besides the usual age wear.
The Ferrell Hicks and Bill Jacobs decals are even almost the same exact size. They are the same length wise but the Ferrell Hicks is a tad bigger width wise. They are also both printed on reflective sheeting. BTW Marlin please help me with that info! Here is an ad that I got from the Dick Harrell website originally posted by Valerie Harrell. It is from Drag World 6/19/70 and lists Bill Jacobs Chevrolet in Joliet as a dealer.
I am in the process of researching Bill Jacobs and will let everybody know the outcome. |

Re: Dealer Emblems
Frank
I know a Mechanic who worked at Bill Jacobs back then.I will ask him about the Yenko network.. Jeff Does that DH emblem on Kevins Camaro have a painted on Grey background,or is that background physically part of the DH emblem itself? On the 1970 DH Camaro, this same embem has a Yellow outline painted on the car itself behind the emblem. |
Re: Dealer Emblems
The white is painted on background under the emblem. I had the sad task of doing the inspection of this car this past Aug, I have to figure out how to get a test drive section put into the inspection sheets from now on
I had first said the area was Grey but it is white sorry for the wrong color info. |
Re: Dealer Emblems
Thank You Jeff.
Frank I talked to my friend who worked as a Bill Jacobs Mechanic. He says Bill Sr. was not promoting the Yenko/SuperCars cars as heavily as he was his own cars.It was never really his Forte. As stated earlier, just because you were a Dealer in the Network, didn't always mean you sold a Yenko Prepared car. My Friend does not remember any Yenkos being solid from Bill Jacobs Chevrolet, but he does remember seeing some ads showing them in the network back then,as has been shown recently here.Again no solid proof, just him going by his memories. It wasn't until Bill Jacobs Jr. took over in 1978,that they really added more performance orientated cars... |
Re: Dealer Emblems
That is kind of the info that I got as well. I will still try though.
