Re: '69 ZL1 #23
The car was in the Glenside, PA area, not too far from the original dealership - Lafferty Chev. in Warminster, PA. Both towns are suburbs of Philadelphia. Several locals remember that ZL1 sitting on the showroom floor for a while due to the expensive pricetag. Lafferty is still in business, same place, same building, my preferred supplier on my Yenko Deuce project!

saw the car a few times sitting in the showroom of Lafferty. Used to go down there after school and look at it.

Re: '69 ZL1 #23
----Many of us (who are old enough) saw ZL1s languishing on the showroom floor into the 70s. As revered as they are today it was hard to make a case for them when they were released.......Bill S

Re: '69 ZL1 #23
The same situation occurred with the 427 Cobras. The market was quickly saturated and dealers were trying to sell them years later, often for 1/2 the original price !Who could have predicted today's values !

Re: '69 ZL1 #23
Same with the superbird and Daytona's, I remember one in Holland growing up in the mid 70's driving around as an every day driver.. Dealers were stuck with them
