If the COPO is so much faster than the L89 a &quot;few hidden mods&quot; should fair it up for a great race. (That is a kick a## race no matter who wins)

Come on, make it happen.........

L89 is a weight difference of 78 pounds. (about the weight of one iron head)
The 427 will be quicker.

I didn't Buy his Motor - I built my own for Pure stocks. Spent 5 hours certifying it with Bob Boden ( Guy that puts on the Pure Stock Drags ) Went over every inch of it. Saw that F.A.S.T. class was dying and couldn't do it to that Beautiful car. So instead of Low 10's it will be High 11's.. Still not to shabby<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Postsedan</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Tim,

Are you talking about the weekend before at Strongesville Ohio Aug 2-3?

I am working on final approvals with Beautiful (coma) Chevelle loving wife for both shows.

I am a spectator so it's much easier for me, (less gas, etc)

Strongsville Ohio NOCC is just 5 hours away, (officially on the calendar)

St Louis is 11, so I am opting out of SCR16. (&quot;feel shame&quot; Slap Shot reference) You all have a great time.

Make it a great tribute to COPO Pete.

Maybe the 1969 Chevelle SS 396 L78/L89 vs 1969 Chevelle COPO L72 will play out at PSMCR this year?

I'll donate a gallon of good gas for each car.

Last year: 1969 Chevelle SS 396/375 4spd is in the top 25 fastest, Justin Maher 13.043 @108.40 mph

This car flies.

Ryan

Driving your cars is the only way to go, I love trailer queens to look at but bias ply won't burn themselves.

Hi Helmut, and Tim,

Can you guys send more info,

Helmut I thought you had a black L89?, do you have a pair? (pair of L89's not &quot;a pair&quot;)

Tim, is this a new addition?, it's not in your &quot;signature&quot; yet.

Ryan

Great news,

PS: I really don't care who races who I am just a 1969 Chevelle freak and want to see as many as possible race at PSMCDR, and meet the owners so I can get as much support as possible buying my next 69 (2014-2015) and racing at PSMCDR (2015-2016)

Re: Higher value 69 Chevelle COPO 427 or L-78/L89?

I bought the car 1 1/2 years ago from Greg Cullum as a Roller. He was building it to be a FAST class car. I saw it and couldn't do it to this Beautiful creature. So I have spent the last 1 1/2 years bringing it back to the Less evil side of the force. Now as a pure stocker she's ready to roll.

This thread definatly morphed into something else. I'm thinkin we need to start a new thread &quot;My kid can beat up your Honor role student&quot;

Great stuff here.

In the picture it looks Lemans blue, (also I missed the shinny trimmed post (Dan will not let me live that down) but this must be the dusk blue post....

Kick a## car.

PS: What car do you normaly race at PSMCDR?
