I go at them from the bottom, and through the wheel well. Not my first choice of work I'll be quick to point out:beers:

That was my thought when I read that statement from olredalert.

Access from bottom and/or inner fender skirt with various extensions and swivels.

----My wife's 66 big block with AC had a hole in the inner fender just big enough to pass thru a spark plug socket directly in line with the #6 plug. It's still there and much appreciated. Back when the resto was fresh (circa 2000) the car was judged at both NCRS and BG. Scored well and no one ever caught the hole!....Bill S

Tim, well done again and great video. Love this car checks all the boxes!

Such an Awesome A/C coupe.

Great road trip car with the perfect powertrain (350 HP / 3.70), plus air conditioning.

Tim, what years did the A/C Corvettes have that cool bow tie decal in the RR glass?

I believe that started in 65

----Unless I have missed it there is no good repro AC decal for these years. My wife's 66 has the original in almost perfect condition. My 67 wasn't so lucky as it's a very poor copy. It doesn't even have the white (pearlish) back round. would love to correct that!....Bill S

Guys, curious exactly what years and what style these “Air Conditioned” decals were used as I think they look neat advertising the A/C on these cars.
I like to see OEM Decals / Stickers because they typically deteriorate over time.

I show a couple examples, but not sure if they are correct.

Tim,
If your 1967 once had this A/C decal are there any remnants of it in that back glass?

Thank you!

Not a hint of it Chris. Now I'm wondering if 67 used them? I had a 67 L79 A/C smog roadster a few years ago that I bought from Kevin Dewitte. That was a Top Flight / Bloomington Benchmark car and I don't recall that car having one either.

Hi Tim,
I know a tiny little decal is very minor compared to the grand scheme, but if they belong, they belong.
Thank you for the reply.

Mister Tim G,
What’s your thoughts on this decal (years, style).
Thanks.

Chris.

The judging manual does not call out an AC sticker for the 1967 Corvette. The manuals for 63, 64, 65, and 66 clearly call this sticker out along with providing a picture.

----Good to know. I'll peal that AC sticker off right now!....Bill S

Leave it on Bill !! You can claim your car is 1 of 1...

TimG 09-06-2025 10:19 PM

Yes, Bill. Leave it on. It may be correct, and you don't want to hurt an original sticker.

----I'm pretty sure this decal looks to be a lot newer. With at least 4 owners between me and me I'm relatively sure it's not original!....Bill S

Well, no need to wonder as this decal issue seems to be settled. Not correct for 1967.

Now I can sleep 😔.
