Winter Challenged. I can hear that Squarebody shortbed rusting. We don’t need to talk about how ravaged a neglected MGB making its own snowbank is.

Drove my '68 Chevelle SS from Chicago to Cincinnati for a work in 1991 with ladder bars and N50s. Didn't do that great in the snow. :)

Blue Benn Diner...
Been to that joint a number of times...it's a local landmark.
https://www.bluebenn.com/ By the way...I have no photos, but I used to run Dunlop CW-44 snow tires on my 70 L78 Nova back in the day. |

Here’s a few more, note Deer on the trunk lids/roofs in the Clark Gas Station shot. Sure looks like the good old world to me and let’s get the snow machines out! Is that your ‘Doo RV340 in Post 9 w/ ‘67 ‘Vette Roadster Bill, ‘77 w/ twin pipes? I had a ‘75 RV245 Racer also a ‘78 340 new, no good in snow but tough to beat on the flat or track! :beers: ~ Pete . |

Surprising how many Dodge Daytonas & Plymouth Superbirds are showing up here! Back in the day, I don't ever recall seing one driving on the street, summer or winter....they were all sitting unsold on dealership lots.

All my car buddys had snowmobiles and the Arctic Cats and Polaris could blow by at 100 mph on the lakes, but on the trails Joel (original owner of a '67 Z28) and I with our RV's would run away and hide from them. I also had a '76 RV 340 that came with an instruction manual to modify for racing. Should have kept that one! Previous to the RV I had a '75 Sno Jet SST 440 with a Yamaha SRX engine. That one was fast and fun, steer it with the throttle sprint car style. I could write a book on snowmobile shenanigans! :beers: - Bill W |

This is my 1972 340 Cuda taken after the 1978 Chicago blizzard. In the 2nd picture you will see a garage that the roof had caved in on top of an older plymouth fury from the weight of the snow.

That's a great "guess which car".....I thought '69 torino but can't be certain in any way.

Musclecars in Winter snow, salt and slush
Looks like a Ski-Doo under the cover? Must have took (3) men and a boy to load that Snowmobile with out beating up the tailgate and the bed. Bill
