My 1969 Camaro has been in a holding pattern. Body Shop jail LOL

but I have just about finished up the 1970 RS/SS L78 Camaro of my friends. The motor has been gone since the last 1970's it is currently running a 1968 L88 short block.

I have asked the photo master Dan Vasic to post some of the pictures of the build

NorCam 05-25-2021 09:10 PM

Yup....love to see more of that one too!

What a great looking car! Love the unique details.

dykstra 05-26-2021 11:39 AM

Looks killer!!

markinnaples 05-26-2021 03:40 PM

WOW, those are both spectacular but that black one takes it to a new level. Crazy idea with the chain drive shaft retention device.

Picked up the New S60 for my 1969 project Camaro, new top to bottom build by Strange Engineering 4.56 gear.

That should be a very tough piece. I was going to use one of those in a '67 Chevelle, but I sold the car.

Love that...I was right on the fence with ordering an S60 myself. I'm jealous. :scholar:

Postsedan 05-29-2021 11:56 AM

Finally got the body prep and starting to fit the rear end and sub frame to make it a roller. Should be ready for paint soon.

Perhaps you need to gather up a posse, load up with a few persuaders and head on over to that jail house. :haha:

Right On!

Been needing a fix lately as it's pretty quiet around here and this is the shot I needed to see. What hood are you going to mount/paint, and remind me on the color choice again?

Cortez Silver?

chevyandpontiac 12-16-2021 09:43 PM

Cortez silver black interior

302 with a tunnel ram Yes I am going to cut that hood.

Very cool. What wheels/tires will grace this car?

The hood aftermarket ? If original I have one that needs repair you could cut instead.

chevyandpontiac 12-17-2021 12:05 PM

The hood is a repop. I wouldn't cut up a real hood

The car will get either Cragars or Slots, not sure which ones yet

Chuck_Burg 12-17-2021 04:57 PM

My vote is Slots, but surely you can have two sets of wheels for it.... :naughty:

NorCam 01-25-2022 02:17 AM

HELLO......Anyone there?

chevyandpontiac 01-25-2022 11:00 AM

It is that time of year in Chicago when people forget how to drive and Josh is busy as hell.
I have gone by a couple of times, just to see stacks of cars being fixed from spinouts and sliding.

NorCam 01-25-2022 01:10 PM

Yup...

Restoration work is cool, but collision work pays the bills in most shops. Just thought I'd humor you a bit with some jail bars. (lol)
