Doing whitewall's or blackwall's?
I love Silver Blue with blackwall's! Wheels are painted body color with blackwall's. |
Those caps are beautiful.

Beautiful! That’s the darkest-charcoaliest-grayest-Silver Bluiest hue of that color I’ve seen! I want that model though!
White walls for sure! Hardtop just reunited with the car again. Woohoo! Cheers Dave |
Dave

The maiden flight of MCACN Airlines was a complete success!:headbang:
Here’s a few from yesterday. Weather was perfect, and Jack (my partner in the plane ownership) was headed to St. Louis after the dropping me off. The aerial shot is of Poplar Bluff where the car is which we flew right over, of course, heading for Cape Girardeau where the U-Haul was located. Hey, we same same day service...never said we’d get you to the right airport!:eek2::scholar: And headed back in the ‘Haul. An easy 9hr drive:rolleyes::rolleyes: Cheers:beers: Dave PS: UH OH....we are upside down!! I swear that’s the picture! |

Now that I got the car here, a few more numbers junk...
-Frame is stamped with SII7835 which is the last of VIN -Transmission matches that too -Rear axle is CE code 4.11 dated 5-28-63 -Finned damper -Looks to be original Fuelie exhaust manifolds too. -C63 date radiator surge tank -Larger 6qt oil pan -Alternator part and date checks -Radiator checks Think it's all adding up? Either way I'm extremely happy with it! Cheers Dave |
That car looks gorgeous, Dave.
|
That's awesome Super Dave. Great find.
|
Dave,
Total “Top Gun” Love it! I hope you keep this one :) Dan |
Dave,
I hope you join the NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) if you have not already and buy the 6th edition of the 1963-64 Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide. Great buy, Mike |
----Thank your lucky stars that the exhaust manifolds are there. The one side is extremely hard to find. Have a safe trip!.....Bill S

Thanks, Guys!
When it comes time to return it to Silver Blue, it’s going to be tough. This is a gorgeous color....whatever it is!:confused2: Had to get some shots in the sun. You get so wrapped up in numbers and such it seems you forget what they’re all attached to; a Beautiful Corvette!:headbang: Thanks for the well wishes gents. Cheers:beers: Dave |
Dave:
Stick the new fuelie unit on the engine then enjoy it for a while. |

I agree too! Nice car!
|
Dave:
I see it has back up lights. Very rare for a 63. Only 318 had them. RPO T86: $10.80 |
Wow Dave, awesome ‘63!
|
Perfect as is, Congrats
|
Beautiful car! That color looks kinda like Nassau or Marina blue. If you go back to original I'm sure it'll be just as nice looking.
|
Car looks great Dave. Nicely executed pick-up plan for the car. Well done.
|
Put the fuel unit on it and get it sorted out. Leave it that color. It is a nice car.
|
Thanks guys, and yes, no painting it for a while. I’ll enjoy it as-is then get to it in the Spring. In the meantime, I’ll fix whatever I find it may need.
Very happy with it! Right now, it has the 340HP intake on it and I can see it’s a Winters intake. Are these dated? I though they were but were on the underside, maybe? :confused2: It has the Winters logo on it, and it appears it’s correct for the 340HP engine. Any way to tell it’s a real one? Love the car!!!! Cheers:beers: Dave |
Dave, the part number is on the top of the manifold and should be 3794129. The date is on the bottom of the intake manifold, but it's under a metal splash plate that is riveted on.

Thanks Tim. Mine has the Winters snowflake, but the part number is 3844461 behind the carb.
Just a regular speed part by them?:confused2: Cheers Dave |
I think that’s a 64/65 365hp or 350hp L79 piece
|
You're correct, Tom. 1964/1965 365 Horse intake.
