Any garage in the City is a big deal, but a 6 car is a really big deal. |

Garages and shops are a lot of fun to decorate. I and a number of friends have each done different things with their shop floors. While I like stamped and color concretes as well as all the epoxy finishes, I have seen many that also peeled with a hot set of tires being parked on them, and others to have been really slippery with the snow we get up here. Step out of a car and sometimes you're on your a$$. I think a lot of it has to do with the prep as well as the bonding agents in different toppings.
Charlie's floor looks killer on the house garage, and I like that clean look in some shops. Personally, I've used the silver & charcoal-colored Race Deck free flow tiles a few times now and just love the stuff. I can still roll a jack on it, work on top of it or around it, and often tear it out once a year to clean underneath it before snapping it back in place. Here's a few shots of my old garage, my current storage garage on my house, and my current work garage which all have Race Deck flooring. The nice part is when it comes time to sell. Buyers always want it left behind and that becomes a good selling tool. If not you pull it out and use it in the next place. https://image.ibb.co/iV0LL8/Cabinets.jpg My old double garage from 10 years ago. Buyer wanted it left behind. :-) https://image.ibb.co/nANWHS/New-Garage.jpg My storage garage attached to the house. Using silver and charcoal patterned with a black border and edges. https://i.ibb.co/r29P6Cx/IMG-8537.jpg A separate shop space where I work on the cars. The same tiles are used here in a similar pattern to the house garage. |
That really looks great with the yellow pumps.

I've been wanting to coat the front garage too (for 15 years, lol) and will get to it eventually, using the same stuff. |

30 , 40 years ago I loved my Stroh's . Would by it by the case in returnable long neck bottles. They still have it around here in cans but it is yuckie.
:beers: Mike |
And my wife says I spend too much money on my garage!

I found this in The attic when I moved in. Strange thing to leave the new home owner. Lol
It’s got a guys name on it, so I hung it up. It’s a WW2- Korean War practice bomb. The guys would use these instead of live bombs when learning how to rig, move so on. |

Spent a day unpacking and assembling cabinets. Still need to mount the tv on the wall but ran out of time.

Bad ass

What brand of cabinets?

Thanks for all the suggestions, and great pictures. I am going to go with polished concrete. My building will be similar to Charley's with similar type of cabinets, lifts TV etc. Mostly for done cars. Light repairs being done but nothing heavy.

Here is my black polished concrete floor. I am doing red caulk in the joints. Should have it in over the next few days.

Must be a cell phone pic. Hard to see without turning my head.
Try this: |
Interesting look. Make sure to post pics when it is polished.
|
Yes New Age Pro cabinets. I really like them.
Your floor will look nice when it is polished. Mine shines really nice after polished. I bought a microfiber mop to keep it clean. |

Yes, I love them, but the company is a little messed up. They are local to me, but won’t sell items to me directly that are offered in the US. I had to buy them on-line and ship them to Buffalo!
|
The cabinets I got were disco’d too. I happened to find one on the Home Depot site. The line is way nicer that the husky line they carry now.

Thanks Tim. It’s not as slick as many here, but I live in the city, and you take what you can get! I used to have a wall between the 2 main bays and the small 3rd bay...and a lift in the 1st bay. Took the wall down 2 years ago and got rid of the lift. Now I am looking at another lift soon.

Charley, did I miss something? Did you move to Arizona?
|
I wish. Bought a second home. Here now after a 825 mile drive yesterday. Allergies in Ca are the worst I have ever had so it was a good excuse to head south.
