Really a bucket list for anyone into Musclecars, friendships and racing. https://media.giphy.com/media/xT9DPh...ONiM/giphy.gif |

Our guest speakers have agreed to join our event !!! Dickie Ogles of Kentucky who has nearly 75 NHRA F/S event wins with his 68 Z28 that was picked up in Detroit with his friends persuasive help (Grumpy Jenkins) . And our very own ORIGINAL OWNER ZL1 Ken Barnhart that amazes us with his 6’5” stature...and his drag racing history behind the wheel of his ZL1. We will have 2 podiums set up as well photo presentation for both of our guests. We will also have a Q and A session for both guests. We are excited to bring you drag racing from the grass roots glory days. Please join us.

2 great legends of drag racing.. How does this event keep getting kickasserier..??.. kick..??.. kickassery..???.. it’s just down right cool...
|
This is going to be EPIC !
I've known Mr. Barnhart for nearing 20 years now and have spent countless hours in (and listening to) conversations with him. Rarely do you hear him repeat a story about his racing career. Now add in Dickie Ogles, another true legend of Drag Racing, ..... this is something I will truly 'devour'. We NEED to record this year's event ! ! ! |
that's awesome! I may be wrong but I believe Dickie won with several cars in several decades . his first car was a 56 245hp Chevrolet, next came the(Stagecoach) a 56 9 passenger wagon that he dominated he's class with for several years, next came the "Silly Bear" F stock Z28 that he won a national championship in 1970. he carried on his winning ways with his next car a 69 427 superstock camaro. his last car he campaigned was a 1969 SuperStock 427 corvette that he still owns today ,Also a national winner!!!

This is going to be so cool! I agree Dennis, this exchange has to be recorded.
Anyone who has not already made plans to be at the Reunion should start making them soon. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. Jamie |
Very cool. I could listen to Barnhart for hours.
